Soon,school started again,and our team began to play matches against other schools. Sometimes,it was stressful knowing that our team’s undefeated record could not be broken.Once, my partner Alyssa and I played a five-hour match against South Brunswick simply so that our team could keep this standing. Needless to say,it was very exhausting!
The term “tennis team” doesn’t sound right since the sport is singular in its nature. However,through my experiences with tennis,I have gotten to meet so many amazing players who have become my close friends. Not only does the team bond through our time on the courts,but also through the events the captains organize. Overall,playing tennis has become second nature for me and I don't know where I would be without it.

About us
Our family has been farming at Parkside Farm since1938.Although we no longer keep cows,we still have some grassland and some fileds of wheat and other crops. We started growing strawberries for Pick Your Own back in 1979.Since then, we have made the Pick Your Own area larger and we now grow about 20 different crops.
Opening time
The season starts in late June, but opening hours are variable the first week. Please ring our message line to check. From July onwards,we are open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9 am to 5:30 pm(last entry 5 pm). Opening hours are variable on Sundays. Mondays CLOSED.

The Louvre, in Paris,France, has almost 275,000 works of art. It contains some of the most famous works of art in the history of the world,including the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.
The Louvre was originally a fort( a strong building used by soilders for defending a place) built by King Philip II sometime around AD 1200. In the 1300s, it became a royal house for CharlesV, who had it renovated (翻新). While he did have his own collection of art there, everything disappeared when he died.
This impressive building remained empty until 1527, when Francois I decided that he wanted it for his private palace. Francois I was a collector of early Italian Renaissance art at the time, and already owned the Mona Lisa. However , he would not move into the Louvre until it was completely renovated and made even more splendid than it had been during the rule of Charles V.
Unfortunately, Francois I died before the work was completed, but the work continued until the death of the head architect. Afterwards, several generations of French royalty lived in the Palace until Louis XIV, the last of the French rulers to call the Louvre home, left in 1682. The Louvre, however, was far from abandoned. For about 30 years after Louis XIV death in 1715, the Louvre became the home of artists and scholars. Its art collection grew from about 200 paintings in 1643 to about 2,500 works of art in 1715.
It was a center of creativity, until the public began to be admitted in 1793. Throughout the French Revolution and the years ruled by Napolenon I , the art collection in the Louvre grew greatly.
Napolenon robbed art form all over the world and added it to the Louvre’s collection. After Napolenon’s death in 1821, the original owners reclaimed much of the robbed artwork. Over the last 100 years, art colleges have been set up at the Louvre, and it has become one of the largest museums in the world.

It was on one beautiful morning in the year 1966 when a charming and attractive man visited a Greek restaurant in London with his friends. It was like any other hangout time for him. But little did he know that his life was soon going to change. 
Sonia Maino, who was working at the same restaurant as a part-time waitress for her pocket money, soon saw him and felt an instant connection with the young and good-looking man. It was love at first sight for both. Sonia came from an ordinary background in Italy, and was studying at Cambridge at that time. 
After spending a considerable time on courtship, Sonia discovered that the guy of her dreams was none other than Rajiv Gandhi, son of the first political family of India. The two tied the knot in Delhi in 1968.Who would have ever thought that this love at first sight would land an ordinary girl from Italy into the Forbes list of most powerful people in the world?
An Italian girl was not of course what India’s first family, the Nehru-Gandhi family, was looking for. Rajiv’s mother, Indira Gandhi was initially unsatisfied with the marriage. But as time passed, both Indira and Sonia developed an inseparable bond.
Rajiv desired to stay away from the glare of politics and so did Sonia. Rajiv became a pilot in Indian Airlines and the couple lived a peaceful life. But destiny(命运) had something else in store for them. Rajiv Gandhi’s younger brother, Sanjay Gandhi, died in a plane crash on January 23, 1980. Rajiv's mother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination(暗杀) followed in the year 1984. Her death forced Rajiv to take over his mother’s place and join politics. Rajiv ruled as Prime Minister till 1989. He was assassinated in a bomb attack  in 1991.
After Rajiv’s death, Sonia was so desperate that she decided to stay away from politics. But probably it was Rajiv’s love that gave her strength to gather herself and take over the Congress Party which was in a worsening condition. She led the party to victory in the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha elections but refused to become Prime Minister, when the opposite party raised the question of her Italian origin.
Their love story is one which will be remembered by generations to come.
