1. white elephant.   昂贵而无用的东西， 累赘。
2. Every dog has its day.  凡人皆有得意日。  
3. duck soup      易如反掌之事。 
4. monkey around.       此处monkey 是动词，一般用来骂调皮的孩子像猴子那样瞎弄、捣蛋。 
5.  chicken    在口语中，多指胆小的人，即“懦夫”。也可以用作形容词，意为“胆小的”。
6. Let the cat out of the bag.    泄露秘密。 
7. busy as a bee.    忙得不可开交。  
8. early bird.   在口语中指集会里早到的人。 
9. cold fish.    冷酷无情的人。
