3、s in middle school.The main topic of this unit is “transportation〞.In this unit,students will learn to talk about kinds of transportation,how long it takes to go to school and how far from home to school. Such a topic is related to our daily life,so I think it is easy to arouse the students’ learni

4、ng interests. Part 2—— Analysis of students The students I teach are from Grade 7.They are at age of 12.They are active,energetic and curious.They are poor in cooperate learning skills. Their thinking ability is strong,but the attention can be scattered easily.Most of them can only understand simp

5、le words and sentences but cannot speak out in oral English.So I will help them over- come the problems by group-work , speaking practice and so on. Part 3—— The teaching objectives 1. Knowledge objectives (1) To help students learn the new words and phrases. (2) To make students know how to use

6、 the key structures like“How do you get to places?How long does it takes?How far is it?〞and know how to answer them. 2. Ability objectives (1)To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. (2)To train the students’ ability by working in pairs. (3)To develop the s

7、tudents’ abilities of communication by learning the useful structures. 3. Moral objectives (1)Through different teaching methods to make students be interested in study. (2)Know about traffic rules. (3)Encourage the students to be more creative and grateful to their own parents for sending them

9、phases,structures and express them in oral English. Part 5 —— The teaching methods Before dealing with this lesson, I will try my best to carry out the following methods: 1. Communicative teaching method; 2. Audio-visual teaching method; 3. Task-based teaching method; As we all kno

10、w: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative〞 teaching method, “Audio-visual〞 teaching method and “Ta

11、sk-based〞 teaching method . That is to say, I’ll let the students get a better understanding of the key structures. I’ll give the students some tasks and arrange some kinds of activities, like talking, watching and reading in roles. In a word, I want to make the students the real masters in class w

12、hile the teacher himself acts as director. I also hope to combine the language structures with the language functions and let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language. Part 6 ——Teaching procedures As this lesson plays an important part in the English t

13、eaching of this unit, I have decided the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially writing and speaking ability. The entire steps are: Step1 :Warm-up and Lead-in(2 minutes) Show the students some pictures of common transportations, to review

14、 new words,phases and useful structures what they have learned in last lesson.And I also will ask the students: What can you see from the pictures? Is there another kind of transportation around us?Do you know how to use the words? 实用文档. Purpose of my designing: In this part, have the students dis

15、cuss more about transportation. In this way, they will know today’s lesson has something to do with their discussion. Step2 :Presentation 1. Show some pictures to help them use new words in target structures. Purpose of my designing: After seeing the pictures, the students will know more about

16、the key structures and they can learn them quickly and easily. 2. Help them to master the key structures by matching the questions with the answers ( 3a)and using the words to make sentences(3b) Purpose of my designing: By doing these exercises,can get students really master the target language.

17、3. Asking your classmate questions and write their name in the chant(Section A 3c ). Purpose of my designing: This step is employed to make the students get the general idea of the text. At the same time, let the students have a chance to practice their listening and speaking ability.Also students

18、can know more about each other by asking and answering. Step3:Practice Work in groups. First, I will let the students work in groups and make them have a discussion to find out the key points and difficult points in this lesson. Then encourage them to make a similar dialogue and know the meaning.

19、After that, I will help students to summarize the key points and difficult points. I will show them some structures and help them master them. Purpose of my designing: By practicing using these new words and phrases, the students will know how to use them in English and master the use of them bette

20、r. Step4:Production I will give the students 3 minutes to prepare, and get them make a dialogue and practice it 实用文档. in groups . Then help the students ask each other . And encourage them to say more. Purpose of my designing: (1) After this section, students have managed to use the key stru

21、ctures thus, in this step, I create a circumstance to examine their ability of applying the structures they have learned into daily conversations. (2) What’s more, the retelling session aims at training students’ ability of talking about transportation .By writing and speaking such things, get the

22、 students to practice their writing and speaking ability . Step5:Summarize and Homework I will ask the students such questions: What have we learned from this lesson? What do you feel after learning this lesson?What new phrases have we learned today? Do you have enough confidence to finish thes

23、e exercises? Now, let’s try! Then show them some exercises and help them to finish them. At last, tell the students what today’s homework is. While doing this, the teacher can have the boys and girls have a competition to see who are better. Part 7-- Blackboard design Unit3 How do you get to school? How do you get to school?
