Confidence is power--the power to attract, persuade, influence, and succeed. Imagine what your life would be like if you had an abundance of self confidence !
Confidence isn't an inherited trait, it' s a learned one. This means that you can have an abun-
dance of self-confidence. Start here, right now.
Confidence starts in the mind. What you think of yourself very much influences the way you feel about yourself. This, in turn, affects the way you speak and act.
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
The very first thing you have to do to create abundant self-confidence is to start thinking with confidence. Pay attention to your internal dialogue, and learn to notice when you allow negativity or doubt to control the course of your thinking.
Your environment has a tremendous influence on you. The books you read, the people you spend time with, and the music you listen to all influence the way you think and feel about yourself and the world around you.
In a nutshell, your environment can either build up your self-confidence or drag it down.
If you're in a situation where you're discouraged, such as an unhealthy relationship or a miserable job, you have to change that situation if you want your self-confidence level to grow.
Create an environment that supports you if your desire to have abundant self-confidence. Spend time with confident people.
Remember those, self-confidence can be yours. Take it!

自信就是力量——吸引人、说服人、影响人并取得成功的力量。设想一下，如果你充满自信，你的生活会是怎样一番景象!
自信并非来自遗传，是需要后天学习的。这就意味着，你也可以充满自信。从现在、从这里开始。

如果你现在所处的环境让你备受打击，比如说有一段不健康的关系或者一份痛苦的工作，如果你想提高自信的话，你就要改变你现在的处境。
如果你渴望充满自信，就创造一个支持你的环境，与自信的人多待在一起。
记住这些，自信就属于你。抓住它!

Life is What We Make It

Are you dissatisfied with today's success? It is the harvest from yesterday's sowing Do you dream of a golden morrow? You will reap what you are sowing today. We get out of life just what we put into it.

Nature takes on our moods: she laughs with those who laugh and weeps with those who weep. If we rejoice and are glad the very birds sing more sweetly, the woods and streams murmur our song. But if we are sad and sorrowful a sudden gloom falls upon Nature's face; the sun shines, but not in our hearts, the birds sing, but not to us.

The future will be just what we make it. Our purpose will give it its character. One's resolution is one's prophecy. Leave all your discouraging pessimism behind. Do not prophesy evil, but good. Men of hope come to the front.

大自然反映我们的心情：她随着人们欢笑而欢笑，随着人们哭泣而哭泣。若是我们心情欢欣快乐，鸟儿的歌声就会更加美妙悦耳，连树林和溪流也会轻声低柔地唱着我们的歌。但是，如果我们心情忧伤，突如其来的幽暗就会笼罩自然界的脸庞；遍地阳光，却没有照映在我们心上，鸟儿依旧鸣叫，却不再是对这我们欢唱。

未来是靠我们去创造。我们的意志决定未来的性质。一个人的决心就是他的预言。将一切令人沮丧的悲观抛在脑后。不要预言不幸，但是可以预言幸运— 满怀希望的人自会出人头地。
My topic is "Can money buy happiness".
As we all know, money can buy all the goods in our life, no matter how huge it is. A spaceship, for example, if you really feel your bank account can afford it.
However, when it comes to love, satisfaction, happiness and many other human feelings, it is completely not like this. The result of many recent research can support my point. They said that, though people received far more money than ever, their standard for happiness also rised. That means, if you had one yuan, a car might be your dream, but if you had one million, you might consider owning a space trip. So when people always hope for those they can not afford, they will push themselves to an unhappy situation.
Anyhow, money equal wealthy in life but not happiness in mind Only by changing our attitude to money and enjoying every day, can we obtain a truely happy future!

Blue Planet
We all have a common home. She provides us with enough food, enough water and enough living room. We get everything from the nature to live better, but we donnot do anything to protect her. How the air is polluted; the earth is poisoned; water is unsafe to drink and rubbish is burying the civilization that man owns.
Our environment is being polluted faster than nature and man's present efforts can prevent. Time is bringing us more people, and more people will bring us more industry. So many trees will be cut down, and more large cities will be set up. Lots of waste material, in return, is produced and harms the environment. So some experts declare that the balance of nature is being upset, so that the very survival of man is in danger.
How can we solve this problem? The answer is that we must control the speed of growing people, forbid everyone to cut down trees and pour waste water into rivers and so on.
If we achieve this, the environment will turn very clean, and our future will be full of happiness.

How to Grow Happiness 种植幸福的三个步骤
Step one:
Plant yourself deep in a bed of faith, and pack it down solid and tight. Drench daily with positive thinking, and keep saturated just right. Mulch often with forgivenss, for this will help you grow. Quickly remove any seeds of worry, for they will soon germinate, and keep out the weeds of despair. Nourish disappointments with hope whenever it is neeeded, and always stay cool and shaded when you feel irritated or heated. Trim away guilt or depression, for they create decay, and cultivate with happy memories as often as every day.
步骤一：
把自己紧紧牢牢地埋在“信念”的土壤里。每天浇灌以“积极”的思想，并始终保持湿润。经常以“宽容”来护根，这样有利于幸福的幼苗成长。一旦发现忧虑的种子，及时除掉，否则它们很快就生根发芽，同时也将绝望消灭在萌芽状态。在必要时，用希望来滋养失望；烦躁不安的时候，保持冷静。修剪枝叶，修剪去愧疚和沮丧，否则很快出现衰枝败叶。每天用“幸福回忆”细心照料幼苗。
Step two:
Harvest the lessons of the past; just dig, pick, and hoe. And nurture the roots of the present, for now is when you flourish and grow. Start planting for the future; set your goals in a row. Spade the bed well for all your dreams to grow.
步骤二：
挖掘、收割、筛选，从“过往”收获经验。精心照料“此时此刻”的根茎，因为这正是旺盛生长的时期。有所计划与目标，着手种植“明天”。翻掘一下泥土，为孕育明天的梦想做好准备。
Step three:
Remember that grief is a natural predator, so learn to tolerate some damage. Protect your garden with daily prayers, for this will help you manage. Bury the criticism and complaining, for they are injurious pests. Sow the seed of love wherever you may go--for joy, love, and laughter are surely bound to grow. Although the thorns of life may be here to stay, just sprout a smile along the way...and be thankful for what you have today!
步骤三：
记住，“不幸”是天生的肉食动物，明白它们带来的伤害在所难免，你就会对不完美多一份理解和宽容。每天“祈祷”，保护你的花园，这有利于掌控。将“批评”与“埋怨”这些害虫掩埋起来。将“爱”的种子播散到你足迹所至的每个角落，“欢乐”、“爱”和“微笑”就会生机无限地发育成长。哪怕生命“荆棘”满途，也要在一旁种上微笑的芽苗……不管一切如何，为今天你所拥有的全部心存感激吧！

Good morning,dear teacher and my friends.
it’s a very intresting topic today.
I think my Dad was a hero for me when I was a young child. We'd go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid.
Every child has a good and great father, and so do I. My dad played a very important role in my daily life`````exactly speaking, in my past 16 years.
My father always stands in the center of my life， from past till now and possibly in the future.
My family was rather poor when I was in my childhood. We didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby， small room rented from my father's factory. The room was so small that there was little space for people to walk. I didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents. This is terrible both for my parents and me.
But father made this all different！he works very hard on his own business, now we have our own 2 housese,surly,I have my own room.and he take our family so much happiness, richer and richer.
When I was little, I did everything with my dad. You could always find me sitting on his knee or walking and doing everything with him. Every night he would read me a bed time story and make the voices of each character.
I learnt a lot from my daddy. I learnt to never take things to seriously and to always smile.
Like many other fathers, my dad and I also has generation gap. He is not good at or even can’t work the computer. So when I sitting at the computer desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’, ‘don’t waste time on the computer games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on. How can I- a computer fan – reduce time on computer? So I continue studying and playing on it
Years pasted, my father is over 45 now. It is time for me to look after him and I am sure I will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i really love you dad,cause you are the hero in my mind.

Change the world? Change Ourselves

Good evening, honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen.
It’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—Change the World, Change Ourselves.
It’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. Not long before about 10 Doctors in Beijing university and Qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.
Frankly speaking, I don’t quite agree with them.Indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as China boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples).But why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.
There are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in China. On the one hand, some of the western holidays which we Chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as Father’s Day and April Fool’s Day etc. On the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in China. Overwhelmed by such a trend,Chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.
With the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. We are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth.The only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? The answer is definitely no. What we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate Chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. Only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. Only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us.
At last I’d like to share a famous saying of Gandhi with all of you ,that is:If you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.”

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I am very glad to stand here to have my speech.
Global Citizenship begins at home. Do you know what is the connotation of the Global Citizenship ? To be honest I don’t understand the exactly meaning of the sentence ,so only can I explain it simply .Global Citizenship ,in my opinion ,is not something in word only ,but a kind of responsibility and undertaking ,a way of behaving and thinking .So Global citizenship begins at home ,with a commitment to live responsibility ,to regard all human begins as fellow citizens ,and to be proactive in seeking the common good.
For us university students ,usually we are busy with exams or focusing on the incidents in daily life .We hardly pay attention to the global issues. However , as university students ,we should take the responsibility to think about them ,think about the life around us.
The world develops quickly, but it wandered from the path it should be. Peace and development have become essential issues.
Peace lays a foundation to development. But because of the development, social problems and environmental problems have become serious global problems. Over-population makes us ask for more resources from the limited ones. It causes natural resources fearfully scarce. If we keep on doing so, we will of course lose our reliable living space at last.

Apart from the environment we had broke at home ,we Chinese also have no sense to protect it when traveling abroad. Therefore Chinese travelers’ behaviors in foreign countries have made the native intolerable .And the foreigners have the bad influence about our country.

So I think the sentence of Global Citizenship begins at home means that everyone should be the global citizen ,should take the responsibility to protect our mother land .Global citizenship begins at home ,let we do it through the children and the parents ,through the school and the society, thou the government .There’s an old saying : Action speaks louder than words. Let’s act now . Thank you all attention.

Give it the full picture, because if you do not your credibility is going to go down to zero. Your stock will go down. Not unlike the stock market. You will tank.
