Adelaide International Undergraduate Scholarships (AIUS)
The University of Adelaide offers a scholarship program for mencing international students undertaking undergraduate study. Scholarships in this program have the following conditions:
(1)Available for mencing international undergraduate students only;
(2)Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand);
(3)Provides a waiver of 25% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the program, up to a maximum of four years;
(4)Up to 40 scholarships available each year;
(5)Available for study in any discipline except Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Oral Health and Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience)
(6)Open to eligible applicants pleting Foundation Studies or secondary studies overseas or in Australia, or those transferring into the later years of an undergraduate degree with advanced standing

Academic Eligibility
The selection process for the Adelaide International Undergraduate Scholarships is petitive, with academic achievement forming the main basis for scholarship selection. As a general guide, the University of Adelaide will consider applicants who have achieved an academic level which is the equivalent of a GPA of 6/7 (85%) for a scholarship.
As the aim of the scholarship program is to attract excellent applicants from a wide range of countries, factors such as country of citizenship and program of study may also be taken into consideration in some cases in the scholarship selection process.
Application Process
(1)Applicants may apply online for a scholarship at any time
(2)Applicants must have received an offer of admission from the University before lodging their scholarship application (applicants with a conditional offer may apply, but will need to aept and meet the conditions of their offer before a scholarship can be confirmed)
(3)Scholarship selection is based on academic merit (in certain cases country of citizenship and program of study may also be taken into consideration when awarding scholarships)
(4)Applications will be considered and scholarships offered on a rolling basis until all scholarships have been awarded
(5)Suessful applicants will be notified within 4 to 6 weeks of lodging the scholarship application; unsuessful applicants will NOT be contacted.

Master of Applied Economics Scholarships
The School of Economics makes a limited number of scholarships available to international and domestic students who are seeking entry into the Master of Applied Economics. Applications for the Scholarships are now open for xx. Each Scholarship provides a partial tuition-fee scholarship of AUD 10,000 under the conditions described below, to be awarded in two equal parts: AUD 5,000 in a student's first year of study and AUD 5,000 in a student's second year of study.

Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible for consideration a student must:

(1)Have applied to study the Master of Applied Economics full time and be offered admission into the program in xx at the University of Adelaide; AND
(2)Not be the recipient of any other scholarship or sponsorship funding for the Master of Applied Economics studies.
No previous studies in economics are required to be eligible for a Scholarship.
Selection Criteria
The Scholarships will be awarded on merit to students from anywhere in the world. Applications will be assessed on the basis of the applicant's university results and aompanying motivational letter.

In order to be selected as a Scholarship recipient, an applicant must:
(1)Achieve a minimum GPA of 5.0 (on a scale of 7.0) in their previous studies; AND
(2)Furnish a pleted online application form by Friday 6 January xx for the Semester 1 of xx intake or by Friday 2 June xx for the Semester 2 of xx intake.
While Scholarships will be available for entry in both Semester 1 and Semester 2, preference may be given to applicants able to enter in Semester 1.

Benefits
The Faculty will grant up to ten Scholarships of AUD 10,000 each to applicants mencing in the Master of Applied Economics in xx. These are partial tuition fee Scholarships only. The first award of the Scholarship will be made upon mencement of the first semester of studies in Adelaide. The second award will be made upon the recipient's mencement of the third semester of studies.
VISA Entitlement and Requirements
Scholarship recipients are required to meet the cost of pulsory Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), living costs, cost of return airfares and the remaining tuition fees. These costs are not covered by the Scholarship.

Commencement
The Scholarship must be taken up in the semester and year for which it is offered. The University may withdraw the Scholarship if a candidate fails to provide any required documentation or provides false or misleading documentation.
Deferment and Withdrawal
It is not possible to defer the award and the Scholarship cannot be transferred to any other degree or institution.
Students who subsequently withdraw from the Master of Applied Economics program of study at the University before the census date for their first semester of study must repay the Scholarship in its entirety to the University. Any outstanding repayments will be deducted from the tuition fee refund.
Application Process
An application for admission to the University in xx will constitute an application for a Scholarship provided that a pleted Scholarship application form is also forwarded electronically to the Faculty.
Suessful recipients will receive the Scholarship offer from the Faculty of the Professions. All applications will be assessed on a merit-based selection process. To aept the Scholarship, the recipient MUST aept the University offer of admissions by the deadline stipulated in the Scholarship offer letter. If no response is received by the specified deadline, the offer of the Scholarship will lapse and will be offered to the next eligible candidate.
The University reserves the right not to award the Scholarships if there are no candidates of sufficient merit as determined in each case, or to amend the availability of Scholarships and/or the information provided in the Scholarships details at anytime.
