一．MIS的基本情况：
管理信息系统（Management Information System，简称MIS）的定义：
以人为主导，利用计算机硬件、软件、网络通讯设备以及其它办公设备，进行信息的收集、传输、加工、储存、更新和维护，以企业战略竟优、提高效益和效率为目的，支持企业高层决策、中层控制、基层运作的集成化的人机系统。
MIS的组成：决策支持系统（DSS）、工业控制系统（CCS）、办公自动化系统（OA）以及数据库、模型库、方法库、知识库和交换信息的接口。
以全球最大的企业管理和协同化商务解决方案供应商SAP为例，业务管理解决方案主要涉及：企业资源规划（ERP），客户关系管理（CRM）， 供应商关系管理（SRM），财务，人力资源等。
MIS主要的研究方向：
Information Systems，Information Management，Operation Management，Statistics...
鉴于数据库与数据挖掘和大数据的联系紧密，也可同时考虑Data Science和Business Analytics等项目。
MIS的就业范围：
Computer Systems Design and Related Services；Software Developers and Publishers；Computer and Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing；Consulting Companies；Data Processing, Hosting, and Related Services...
数据分析应用的行业：金融、医疗、零售、快销品、物流、化工、电子制造、汽车、工业机械及零部件、政府、非营利组织等等。

有的学校仍把MIS设置为CS的小方向之一，比如南加州大学计算机系：

此项目时长有12、16、21个月三种，12-month track针对有三年以上工作经验的，21-month track第一年在南澳校区，下面我们看看16-month track的课程设置：
