Welcome to Summer Fun 4 Kids-the UK directory of Summer Camps and Courses. Day Camps

Holiday Play Arrangements
Play arrangements are usually run by voluntary organizations or local authorities. Play arrangements may be restricted to specific activities (Sports or Arts & Crafts) or involve a range of different activities. Some playschemes may involve off-site trips. Play arrangements are provided mostly for young people living within the immediate service area of the event. Age groups from 3 years and above.
Sports/Activity Courses
Specialist courses in single activities or sports. These courses usually take 2 or 3 hours per day, lasting anything from a single day to a progressive course over 4 or 5 continuous(连续的) days. Sports courses are usually led by qualified instructors or coaches and national governing body awards may be achieved, subject to the length of course. Sports courses are often organized by local authority sports centres or specialist centers(Riding Schools. Watersports Centers, etc). Age groups from 7 years and above.
Multi-Activity
Programmes or courses involving a combination of activities rather than a specialist course. Typically multi-activity programmes involve between 4~6 activity sessions per day, with each activity session lasting between 1~1.5 hours. This type of course usually focuses on “taster” or introductory sessions in a range of activities such as sports, adventure, creative and performing arts activities. Age groups from 3 years and above.

Dads are different in handling emotions from moms．In most cases, moms tend to be emotional and feeling the hurt themselves when a child is hurt．However, dads are more detached from emotions．Thus, kids need to learn them both．This is how dads teach their kids in handling emotions．It tells the kids that emotions are all fight but they do not need to be our masters as we can master our emotions．Challenges are very important for kids’ way as moms usually inspire their to take risks．It’s truly a different way of learning from a mom’s way as moms usually inspire their kids to protect themselves．If the kids are not willing to learn to take risks, they character in them will help their kids to explore their potential as well as well as challenge them to grow．What’s more, a dad also plays a part in teaching their kids to take responsibility．It involves taking on a personal commitment to carry out a task and not blaming circumstances or others for one’s failures．It means being diligent, honest and courageous enough to stand by principles．We know moms generally teach their kids to stick to a routine but dads inspire their kids to be mote flexible．But, dads teach kids to the duty for making sure the house is clean, dinner is serves and the kids are on schedule．But dads teach kids to take life less seriously and have some serious frn．

Several years ago, I had to replace a receptionist for my unit. Before I advertised for the position, I was approached by another manager, and asked if I would consider a transfer from his staff instead of opening a new competition. My natural question was to ask who he wanted me to consider and why.
It appeared from his description of this employee, Maria, that she was having a lot of problems performing her duties and had difficulties with her boss and did not appear to respond to any attempts he, the manager, had made to settle the issues. Now, after listening to his explanation, I really had severe doubts. What crossed my mind, after this discussion, was that he wanted me to take a problem off his hands.
I told him I would think about it and would let him know the next day. As promised, after thinking more about this potential performance issue, I decided that I would agree to speak with Maria privately before I made any decision.
And, what I found out during this interview, left me deep in thought. As it turned out, the performance issue appeared to result from working for a boss who never extended a good morning greeting, never gave a word of encouragement, and was constantly changing the work load and routines. The end result was a totally ruined employee who was unconfident and hated to see a new work day start.
I decided to accept her transfer to my unit. What started out as a shy, withdrawn and frightened employee turned out to be one of the most productive and loyal employee that I had ever worked with. Maria couldn’t do enough and was constantly asking for more responsibility. I was more than happy to give her what she needed – praise for work well done, respect as a person, and encouragement for doing well in anything she dealt with.
Sometimes we are guilty of holding others back from accomplishing or doing, or developing as they should or could. It may be a wise idea that we all look in the mirror, from time to time, to see what we are really like.

It’s about the size of a small slim upside down goat, if you can imagine such a thing．The sloth really is not only one of the laziest, but one of the strangest of the strangest of mammals．It spends most of its life asleep．But even when it’s awake, it only moves very slowly．
There are two main kinds defined by the number of toes that they have on their font legs．It’s the three-toed which has really slothful habits, and the one that interests me most．You’re not likely to have seen it in zoos, for unlike the two-toed which will rat all kinds of vegetables and fruits,, the three-toed is really picky and will only accept leaves and fruits of a few particular kinds, which few zoos can supply．And in any case, it doesn’t make an exactly fascinating exhibit, since it spends most of its tile sleeping．
