When the dentist at last removed the cotton-wool from my mouth, I was able to tell him that he had pulled out the wrong tooth.    Lesson49 The end of a dream 美梦告终 Tired of sleeping on the floor, a young man in Teheran saved up for years to buy a real bed. For the first time in his life, he became the proud owner of a bed which had springs and a mattress. Because the weather was very hot, he carried the bed on to the roof of his house. He slept very well for the first two nights, but on the third night, a storm blew up. A gust of wind swept the bed off the roof and sent it crashing into the courtyard below. The young man did not wake up until the bed had struck the ground. Although the bed was smashed to pieces, the man was miraculously unhurt. When he woke up, he was still on the mattress. Glancing at the bits of wood and metal that lay around him, the man sadly picked up the mattress and carried it into his house. After he  had put it on the floor, he promptly went to sleep again.   Lesson50 Taken for a ride 乘车兜风 I love travelling in the country, but I don't like losing my way. I went on an excursion recently, but my trip took me longer than I expected.  ' I'm going to Woodford Green,' I said to the conductor as I got on the bus,' but I don't know where it is.' ' I'll tell you where to get off,' answered the conductor.  I sat in the front of the bus to get a good view of the countryside. After some time, the bus stopped. Looking round, I realized with a shock that I was the only passenger left on the bus.  ' You'll have to get off here,' the conductor said. 'This is as far as we go.' ' Is this Woodford Green ?' I asked. 'Oh dear,' said the conductor suddenly.' I forgot to put you off.' 'It doesn't matter,' I said. 'I'll get off here.' 'We are going back now,' said the conductor. 'Well, in that case, I prefer to stay on the bus,' I answered.   Lesson51 Reward for virtue 对美德的奖赏 My friend, Herbert, has always been fat, but things got so bad recently that he decided to go on a diet. He began his diet a week ago. First of all, he wrote out a long list of all the foods which were forbidden. The list included most of the things Herbert loves: butter, potatoes, rice, beer, milk, chocolate, and sweets. Yesterday I paid him a visit. I rang the bell and was not surprised to see that Herbert was still as fat as ever. He led me into his room and hurriedly hid a large parcel under his desk. It was obvious that he was very embarrassed. When I asked him what he was doing, he smiled guiltily and then put the parcel on the desk. He explained that his diet was so strict that he had to reward himself occasionally. Then he showed me the contents of the parcel. It contained five large bars of chocolate and three bags of sweets!    Lesson52 A pretty carpet 漂亮的地毯 We have just moved into a new house and I have been working hard all morning. I have been trying to get my new room in order. This has not been easy because I own over a thousand books. To make matters worse, the room is rather small, so I have temporarily put my books on the floor. At the moment they cover every inch of floor space and I actually have to walk on them to get in or out of the room. A short while ago, my sister helped me to carry one of my old bookcases up the stairs. She went into my room and got a big surprise when she saw all those books on the floor. 'This is the prettiest carpet I have ever seen,' she said. She gazed at it for some time then added, 'You don't need bookcases at all. You can sit here in your spare time and read the carpet!'    Lesson53 Hot snake 触电的蛇 At last firemen have put out a big forest fire in California. Since then, they have been trying to find out how the fire began. Forest fire are often caused by broken glass or by cigarette ends which people carelessly throw away. Yesterday the firemen examined the ground carefully, but were not able to find any broken glass. They were also quite sure that a cigarette end did not start the fire. This morning, however, a fireman accidentally discovered the cause. He noticed the remains of a snake which was wound round the electric wires of a 16,000-volt power line. In this way, he was able to solve the mystery. The explanation was simple but very unusual. A bird had snatched up the snake from the ground and then dropped it on to the wires. The snake then wound itself round the wires. When it did so, it sent sparks down to the ground and these immediately started a fire.   Lesson54 Sticky fingers 粘糊的手指 After breakfast, I sent the children to school and then I went to market. It was still early when I returned home. The children were at school, my husband was at work and the house was quiet. So I decided to make some tarts for tea. In a short time I was busy mixing butter and flour and my hands were soon covered with sticky pastry. At exactly that moment, the telephone rang. Nothing could have been more annoying. I picked up the receiver between two sticky fingers and was dismayed when I recognized the voice of Mrs Bates. It took me ten minutes to persuade her to ring back later. At last I hung up the receiver. What a mess! There was pastry on my fingers, on the telephone, and on the door-knobs. I had no sooner got back to the kitchen than the door-bell rang loud enough to wake the dead. This time it was the postman and he wanted me to sign for a registered letter !   Lesson55 Not a gold mine 并非金矿 Dreams of finding lost treasure almost came true recently. A new machine called 'The Revealer' has been invented and it has been used to detect gold which has been buried in the ground. The machine was used in a cave near the seashore where--it is said--pirates used to hide gold. The pirates would often bury gold in the cave and then fail to collect it. Armed with the new machine, a search party went he did not like it. She enjoyed herself making the assistant bring almost everything in the window before finally buying the dress she had first asked for.   Lesson58 A blessing in disguise? 是因祸得福吗？ The tiny village of Frinley is said to possess a 'cursed tree'. Because the tree was mentioned in a newspaper, the number of visitors to Frinley has now increased. The tree was planted near a church fifty years ago, but it is only in recent years that it has gained an evil reputation. It is said that if anyone touches the tree, he will have bad luck; if he picks a leaf, he will die. Many villagers believe that the tree has already claimed a number of victims. The vicar has been asked to have the tree cut down, but so far he has refused. He has pointed out that the tree is a useful source of income as tourists have been coming from all parts of the country to see it. In spite of all that has been said, the tourists-have been picking leaves and cutting their names on the tree-trunk. So far, not one of them has been struck down by sudden death!   Lesson59 In or out ？ 进来还是出去？ Our dog, Rex, used to sit outside our front gate and bark. Every time he wanted to come into the garden he would bark until someone opened the gate. As the neighbours complained of the noise, my husband spent weeks training him to press his paw on the latch to let himself in. Rex soon became an expert at opening the gate. However, when I was going out shopping last week, I noticed him in the garden near the gate. This time he was barking so that someone would let him out ! Since then, he has developed another bad habit. As soon as he opens the gate from the outside, he comes into the garden and waits until the gate shuts. Then he sits and barks until someone lets him out. After this he immediately lets himself in and begins barking again. Yesterday my husband removed the gate and Rex got so annoyed we have not seen him since.      Lesson60 The future 卜算未来 At a village fair, I decided to visit a fortune-teller called Madam Bellinsky. I went into her tent and she told me to sit down. After I had given her some money, she looked into a crystal ball and said: 'A relation of yours is coming to see you. She will be arriving this evening and intends to stay for a few days. The moment you leave this tent, you will get a big surprise. A woman you know well will rush towards you. She will speak to you and then she will lead you away from this place. That is all.' As soon as I went outside, I forgot all about Madam Bellinsky because my wife hurried towards me. 'Where have you been hiding ?' she asked impatiently. 'Your sister will be here in less than an hour and we must be at the station to meet her. We are late already.' As she walked away, I followed her out of the fair.    Lesson61 Trouble with the Hubble 哈勃望远镜的困境 In future, astronauts will be required to descend from a spaceship while it is still in space and to return to it. The ability to do this will be necessary in future flights to distant planets. Scientists are now trying to discover if this is possible. The spaceship Astra which left the earth a short time ago, will be travelling three hundred miles into space. At a certain point, the Astra will stop for a short time and an astronaut will attempt to leave the stationary spaceship and then return to it. We shall not know whether the experiment has been successful until we have received a radio message. The first message is expected to arrive at 7 o'clock this evening. By that time, the Astra will have been flying through space for seventeen hours and will have circled the earth a great many times. When the first radio messages have been received, the results of the trip will be announced immediately.   Lesson62 After the fire 大火之后 Firemen had been fighting the forest fire for nearly three weeks before they could get it under control. A short time before, great trees had covered the countryside for miles around. Now, smoke still rose up from the warm ground over the desolate hills. Winter was coming on and the hills threatened the surrounding villages with destruction, for heavy rain would not only wash away the soil but would cause serious floods as well. When the fire had at last been put out, the forest authorities ordered several tons of a special type of grass-seed which would grow quickly. The seed was sprayed over the ground in huge quantities by aeroplanes. The planes had been planting seed for nearly a month when it began to rain. By then, however, in many places the grass had already taken root. In place of the great trees which had been growing there for centuries, patches of green had begun to appear in the blackened soil.    Lesson63 She was not amused 她并不觉得好笑 Geoffrey Hampden has a large circle of friends and is very popular at parties. Everybody admires him for his fine sense of humor--everybody, that is, except his six-year-old daughter, Jenny. Recently, one of Geoffrey's closest friends asked him to make a speech at a wedding reception. This is the sort of thing that Geoffrey loves. He prepared the speech carefully and went to the wedding with Jenny. He had included a large number of funny stories in the speech and, of course, it was a great success. As soon as he had finished, Jenny told him she wanted to go home. Geoffrey was a little disappointed by this but he did as his daughter asked. On the way home, he asked Jenny if she had enjoyed the speech. To his surprise, she said she hadn't. 一、建设地点：
龙河湾休闲立体产业园座落于屯昌县屯城镇龙河湾两岸溪近村、大东村、大长村、沙湾村和大石村等五个自然村，山清水秀，绿树成荫。
二、建设规模：
龙河湾休闲立体产业园是一个以生态农业开发为宗旨，集农业现代化生产、科研成果转化，并具有开发经营、博览示范、教学实习、科普教育、赏花品果、采摘娱乐、休闲游憩等综合性、多功能的绿色休闲立体农业产业园。园区建设目标定位为全省农业旅游示范区、生态农业观光区、绿色农产品生产基地、科研院所教学实验基地、农业科普教育基地、参观游览度假娱乐一体化旅游胜地、“都市农夫”“乐活族”的农业休闲基地和提供游客参与农事活动的“农耕乐园”。
园区总规模xxx亩。其中山坡地xxx0亩，沟坪地88亩。龙河湾休闲立体产业园建设“生产体验区、接待服务区、景观游览区、娱乐活动区、办公管理区” 五个功能区，总规模占地xxx亩，将生态、生产、生活、服务、景观、培训等功能有机结合，充分体现生产性、观赏性、娱乐性、趣味性、科教性、知识性、文化性、参与性于一体。在保证观光农业产业发展的前提下，建造富有特色、具有农林氛围、生态意境的农林景观。
1、生产体验区：占地910亩。以xxx特色动植物资源为重点，建设百花百果采摘观赏园、百药百菜 生产观赏园、珍禽养殖观赏园，其中：
1）百花百果采摘观赏园：占地xxx亩。以xxx核桃、时令鲜水果为重点，加大香玲、鲁光、陕核1号、西林1号、西洛1、3号等核桃良种，欧美大樱桃、中华魁金杏、大红甜杏、美国红脆蜜桃、中华寿桃、蟠桃、瑞光油桃、红喜李梅、大石早生李、琥珀李、黑宝石李、玫瑰香及户太8号葡萄等名优特水果的种苗繁育、生产与开发。
2）百药百菜生产观赏园：占地xxx亩，其中连栋温室10亩。以道地中药材和秦岭山野菜开发为重点，加大丹参、黄芩、连翘等五大商药，荆芥、鱼腥草、石蜡菜、蘘荷等山野菜的繁育、生产与开发。
3）珍禽养殖观赏园：占地xxx亩。以三黄肉鸡、岩鸡、野鸡、
锦鸡、鹌鹑等xxx特色珍禽为重点，进行笼养、网养和散养生产与开发。
2、接待服务区：占地10亩。具备接待、专业技术培训、科普教育、办公管理、员工住宿等功能。
3、景观游览区：占地90亩。以服务为平台，以商品农业自然、景观、产业为道具，环绕消费者，创造出值得消费者回忆的活动为农业体验。
1）现代农业科技馆：占地2亩。主要展示农业科研与推广的新
品种、新技术、新工艺、新设施、新成果和新产品，突出体现现代农
业的科技含量。
2）农耕文化博览馆：占地2亩。主要展示农业发展史回顾展。
展室以详实的实物、模型、图片和文字说明等形式展示我国古代农业、
传统农业和现代农业发展的历史。展览重点介绍我国古代农业和传统
农业的大田作物种植技术、园艺作物种植技术以及农业生产工具和生
产设施的发展，突出农业的知识性、趣味性、观赏性，对市民、青少
年和学生具有一定的教育意义。
3）农耕文化广场：占地10亩。体现历史文化、地域特色和生态
内涵。布置亲切宜人的游客活动场所，配置完善的服务设施，满足游
客休闲游憩、娱乐等综合性开放空间。
4）祥云广场：占地5亩。位于园区景观最高处，提供游客停车、休憩及公用设施，诸如：亭廊、坐凳、标志牌、垃圾箱以及各式圆灯
等。以人性化设计为本，兼顾功能与美观，体现绿色生态的现代化要
求。
5）园路、亭阁：占地71亩。其中主园路36亩，次园路27亩，
亭阁8亩
4、娱乐活动区：占地78亩。
1）xxx人家集群：60栋，占地30亩。内设酒吧、棋牌室、健身器材，体现“人在绿中居、花在庭院开、鱼在水中游、情到农家来”的优美环境，为游客提供健康娱乐、休闲养生的“世外桃源 ”，给游
客一种高品位的精神享受。
2）儿童乐园：占地3亩。园中设置淘气堡、毛绒木制发声摇马、摇椅、滑梯秋千组合、球池、充气蹦床等儿童游乐设备，在这里，孩
子们可以跑、可以钻、可以爬、可以攀、可以滑、可以翻、可以滚。
为儿童提供集跳，爬，钻，滑，荡，滚，摇等 功能性动作于一体的综合性儿童游乐设施，把孩子们带入童话般地境地，体验“牧童”的梦幻与诗意，享受“牧童的欢声与笑语。
3）垂钓园：占地20亩。位于xxx人家集群旁，是集垂钓、烧烤、餐饮、住宿、为一体的综合休闲胜地。幽雅的林间小路，醉人的山谷
月色，清澈的山涧小河，甘冽的潺潺清泉，肥美的冷水鲜 鱼绘制龙河湾农业观光园一道靓丽的风景。成为您厌倦都市的烦嚣，渴望回归大自然的快乐天堂。
4）嬉水园：占地25亩。座落在龙河湾农业观光园区芦沟河谷，
四周青山环抱，景色宜人，为游客提供夏日休闲娱乐场所。以自然景
观作衬景，叠泉、雕塑、音乐声控喷泉，为嬉水园平添生趣。池边建
造巨树古树群、巨石奇石群和青松翠竹园，栽植忘忧草、柽柳、金丝
柳、梧桐、石楠、木槿、紫薇、南天竺、红叶李、金叶女贞等，在树
林 中设有帐篷、竹楼，供人们纳凉、休憩，以方便游客周末、节假日休闲度假。
三、建设期限：
建设期为2年
四、建设内容：
1、2010年10月-2011年9月计划重点建设基础设施：
（1）按功能规划为生产体验区、接待服务区、景观游览区、娱乐
活动区和办公管理区等，并进行具体分区；
（2）兴建生产体验区；
（3）修建工作人员办公区、宿舍及小规模接待区；
（4）修建园区道路、园门、集散广场、供电及给排水等基础设施，
满足生态观光园交通、照明、动力等需要；
（5）建设滴灌节水系统，发展果树种植和间种农作物；
