looking for a replacement by holding a poetry competition.Two of his followers wrote poems on the nature of Buddhist tree and the nature of(non-)existence.The one who wrote about non-existence became the 6th master and after 10 years of reclusive life created the South Branch of Zen Buddhism.设计灵感来自于神秀与慧能比诗的禅宗著名典故。南北朝时，佛教禅宗传到五祖弘忍，弘忍大师当时在湖北的黄梅开坛讲学，其中翘楚者当属大弟子神秀大师。弘忍要寻找一个继承人，所以他就对徒弟们说，大家都做一首有禅意的诗，看谁做得好就传衣钵给谁。神秀在半夜起来，在院墙上写了一首诗：身是菩提树，心为明镜台。时时勤拂拭，勿使惹尘埃。慧能则让人代写：菩提本无树，明镜亦非台，本来无一物，何处惹尘埃。弘忍最后向慧能讲解了金刚经，并传了衣钵给他。慧能远走南方，隐居10年之后创立了禅宗的南宗。20可编辑可编辑Tea
