要点一：语法would you mind…?
1. would you mind…? “你介意……吗？/ 请你……好不好？”，是委婉的向别人提出请求的方法之一。有两种用法：
1). Would you mind (not) doing sth?
Would you mind give me a cup of tea? 请给我一杯茶，好吗？
Would you mind not turning on the TV? 请你别开电视，好吗？
2). Would mind one’s doing sth?
Would mind our singing here? 你介意我们在这里唱歌吗？
2. Would you mind…? 结构也可以改成: Do you mind…? 回答时要针对mind作答。Yes表示介意，不能满足对方请求。No表示不介意，能满足对方要求：No, not at all. / Ok. / All right.
---Do you mind my smoking in the room? 你介意我在房间抽烟吗？
---Yes, you’d better not. 是的，你最好别抽。
---Would you mind my sitting here? 你介意我坐在这里吗？
---No, of course not. 不，当然不介意。
3. 其他表示委婉请求的方法：
Would/ could you please do sth?
Can you do sth? / please do sth.

Turn down：将声音调低、调小 turn up: 调高、开大
Turn on 打开（水，煤气，电灯） turn off: 关掉（水电气等）
Turn sth into 变成…… turn to page 1翻到第一页
Turn sth over 反过来，倒过来 turn against 反对
都为动词短语，后接名词，放在短语中间或后面皆可以，如果接代词只放在短语中间。
I want to watch TV. Could you turn it on?
Please turn up the radio/ turn the radio up. I can’t hear clearly.

要点三：have to的用法：
1. have to 表示“必须，不得不”强调由客观条件引发的义务，三单线变成has to,过去式had to，变否定句和疑问句都要借助助动词do，。
You have to go there before 8 o’clock.
You don’t have to go there before 8 o’clock. = you needn’t go there before 8 o’clock
Do I have to go there before 8 o’clock? ---Yes, you have to. / No，you don’t have to=you needn’t
2. must 情态动词，表示“必须”表示主观意愿必须做某事，没有时态和人称变化，变疑问句时把must提前，否定句在must后面加not。
考题练习：根据答语写出问句。
1. She has to study about ten hours every day. （改为一般疑问句）
she to study for about ten hours every day?
2. Bob has to stand outside for a few minutes. （改为否定句）
Bob to stand outside for a few minutes.
3. They have to write 100 words every Sunday. （把every Sunday改成next Sunday）

要点四：a bit, a little, a few的区别：
1. a bit + 形容词、副词，a bit of = a little + 不可数名词，意为“一点，一些”，如：
It looks a bit longer. 它看起来长一些。
She knows a bit of English. = she knows a little English. 她懂一点点英语。
2. a little + 不可数名词，表示“一点，一些”，如：
I have a little water to drink. 我还有一点水可以喝。
3. a few + 可数名词复数，，如：
There are a few apples on the table.
4. 单独的“little+不可数名词，few+可数名词”表示否定意思“几乎没有”。

要点五：allow 的用法：
作动词，表示“允许”常接短语：allow doing sth “允许做某事”allow sb to do sth“允许某人做某事”同义词是let, let sb do sth “让某人做某事”。
用于被动语态为：sb be allowed to do sth “某人被允许做某事”。
We don’t allow smoking here. 我们不允许在这里抽烟。
We don’t allow students to smoke here. = we don’t let students smoke here.
我们不允许学生在这里抽烟。
She was allowed to read in the reading room. 她被允许在阅览室读书。
考题练习：
We aren’t (被允许交谈) in class。
The students (不被允许玩电脑游戏) from Monday to Friday.
The police (不允许孩子们踢球) in the street.
要点六：take care/ take care of 区别：
1. take care+ 从句、不定式。“小心，当心，注意”= look out / be careful.
Take care not to hurt yourself.
Take care that you can’t make the same mistake. 小心你别犯同样的错误。
2. take care of+ 名词、代词。“照顾、照料”，相当于look after. 如：
I believe that neighbors can take care of your son while you are out.
相信我外出期间我的邻居们会照顾我的儿子的。

小心开会别迟到。

我们应该好好保管图书管的书。
We should the library books.
你去购物时，让他来照顾你的孩子。
Let her your baby when you go shopping.
要点七：work的用法小结
4. n. 不可数名词“工作”。如：That is a hard work. 那是一项艰难的工作。
可数名词“作品，著作，工厂”，这种情况work常用复数。如：
We are reading works of Shakespeare. 我们在读莎士比亚的作品。
5. v. 不及物动词“工作正常，机器运转”如：
My watch doesn’t work. 我的手表不走了。
We can’t watch the TV, because it’s not working. 我们看不了电视了，因为电视坏了。
及物动词“操作，开始，经营，管理”如：
I don’t know how to work the machine. 我不知道怎样操作这台机器。
