瀛海威公司人在中国信息产业发展的风风雨雨中艰苦跋涉着走过了二年的历程。作为瀛海威的中高层管理人员、高级技术人员和老员工，这三年中我们挥洒激情、汗水和全部聪明才智，使瀛海威曾一度辉煌过，同时也使信息服务业和瀛海威成了我们生命的一部分。
但自去年下半年以来，面临中国信息服务业恶劣的生存环境和同业竞争的巨人压力。瀛海威又出现了来自股东方的严重资金短缺，公司原定快速蓬勃发展的业务计划被迫搁浅。为缓解营运资金短缺的巨大压力，公司从去年10月份开始被迫宣布进入过渡期开展生产自救，挖掘系统集成、虚拟主机、IT相关产品销售、加盟节点建设等一系列“短、平、快”项目，努力增收节支，以期经过数月努力使瀛海威能够走出由于资金短缺所带来的业务停滞状态，重获发展契机。
我们努力着，奋斗着。但面临压力，董事会与公司经营人员之间对公司未来发展方向存在的分歧日渐明显。原总裁张树新被迫于今年6月底去职，于干总经理继任。近5个月来，公司业务发展方向愈发不明晰，业务开展基本是去年过渡期业务的延续。漫长的等待，使我们的希望化为沮丧。公司未来发展方向的迷茫，财务负担的日渐沉重、骨干员工队伍的逐步流失，使瀛海威己迫近崩溃边缘。“没有枪，没有子弹，置身于不见人迹的荒漠之中，被告知去消灭一定数量的敌人”，是今天我们大家的共同感受。
