Founded by Chris Littledale and some of his close friends in 1991, Brighton Toy and Model
Museum has over ten thousand toys and models in its over four thousand square feet of floorspace
We have toys from as early as the mid-18th century. However, mast of our exhibits focus on the
golden age of toy making during the first half of the 20th century. The displays have toys of all types including priceless model train collections and many ancient toys from Great Britain and all over Europe and the US.

New year's Eve is a differcrit time for every body all around the world.
In England, where I am from we usually have a party with friends and family. We put the TV on and wait for Big Hen to hit 12 and then we all wish each other"Happy New Year”,cross our arms across our chest and hold hands with the person next to us, We form a circle and sing a song
Called”Auld Land Syne”, a very cold Scottish song which means “time gone by”.We make New year’s resolutions too, a list of things we say we will do in the New Year. For example, travel more or spend more time with family.

In Denmark, people smash plates around the front door of the house. It is said that the more
plates you break, the more friends you will meet in the New Year. They also jump frum a chair
when the clock strikes midnight!
