1. I have a dream school in my mind. We can choose our favorite lessons to learn. We can spend more time doing some outside reading. The students do after-school activities for one and a half hours every day. We needn’t do a lot of homework. Besides that, my dream school looks like a big garden. There are many kinds of flowers around the modern buildings. If I want to have a rest, I can lie on the grass, listen to music by the lake or look at the flowers from the classroom windows. The teachers here are not only our teachers but also our good friends. The students are polite and friendly. We all know how to keep our school clean and tidy. There is no litter around the campus. I love my dream school. We will grow up to be happier there.
2. Bill and Jane were coasting on a hill. Down the hill went the sled. Bill steered. Jane held on tightly. The coasters on the hill watched them. Past trees they whizzed. Jane yelled, “Stop the sled! Stop the sled!” but Bill could not stop it. Suddenly Jane had a feeling that she was a bird in flight. Was she dreaming? She landed in a big pile of snow. Where was Bill? The most important is to show a brief, that is perseverance. The British minister Winston Churchill had a motto of "Never, never, never, never give up. Nothing can replace for hard work. Life is a process of struggle for success.
4. When I was in grade four in primary school, my father taught me how to use computer. After that, I was very interested in playing on computer. I watched movies, played computer games, searched the Internet and listened to the music on computer. Because my father must work in his computer, so he bought another for me. I was very happy that I had my own computer. It was put in the study. I am always very careful to use my computer, because I am worried I would break it. I often chat with my net friends. Because of my computer, I make many friends who have many hobbies in common. Of course, I use my computer in study. There are resources on the Internet. I can learn more after class. It does great help to me.
5. In 1929, three years after his flight over the North Pole, the American explorer, R.E. Byrd, successfully flew over the South Pole for the first time. Though, at first, Byrd and his team were able to take a great many photographs of the mountains that lay below, they soon ran into serious trouble. 6. What is the low carbon life? We can do a lot in our daily life to achieve the goal of living low carbon life. First, we’d better turn off lights if possible and spend less time watching TV or surfing the Internet. Saving water also matters much. Besides, we should sort out the rubbish, hoping that we might recycle some, which will surely benefit us a great deal. In addition, we suggest using handkerchiefs instead of tissues so that we can prevent more trees from being cut down. More importantly, when we go out, walking, riding bikes or taking buses should be our first choice, which contributes to a cleaner world.
7. As we all know, water is essential in our daily life. We drink water every day; we use water to wash things and cook food and we also use water to make machines. People can't live without water. Though about 75% of the earth is covered with water, only 3% of it can be used. So we must save water by having a shower instead of a bath. We can save water by fixing dripping taps immediately and we can also save water by not washing under a running tap. Just do everything that we can do to save water.
8. That was a morning in the early of June. I took a bus to my school. The sky was gray with the gloomy clouds congregating gradually along the far eastern horizon. "There must be a heavy rain soon." I spoke to myself. When I hurried into the classroom, the sky, gray before, was replaced now by black clouds. Several minutes later, I saw the lightening split the clouds and heard the thunders following. Suddenly, the curtain of rain fell and the wind blew. With the rain forming like a fog, the sky became bright. I took several deep breathes. I felt comfortable. The heavy rain lasted three hours and stopped when the class was over. The air was so fresh and the sky was so clear. I felt like a new man myself.
9. Everything begins to grow in spring. The trees turn green, and the flowers come out. On the playground, in the fields, on each side of the road, the young grass grows everywhere. Elephant is a vital tool for people to do many things that would normally be impossible. Elephant will continue to be one of the greatest creatures that man has ever come into contact with. Its size, beauty, and power will forever be useful to man.
11. We wouldn't believe that it was a village. The buildings for the farmers were very beautiful, the streets were very clean and there were many flowers in front of the houses. In the middle of the village there was a school with a wonderful building and a large playground. All the children in the village study there. The farmers got richer by planting vegetables and raising silkworms. In their houses there were color TV sets, fridges, washing machines, new furniture and even motorbikes. All these showed the farmers' life was getting better and better. The great changes had attracted foreigners. Today some of them would come to visit it. We were happy for the farmers. We hope the farmers will be richer and happier.
12. The Yangtze River is the longest river in China. And it’s important and helpful to Chinese. But these few days the Yangtze River is bringing us serious floods. Many villages were destroyed by floods. The floods made millions of people lose their homes, relatives and friends. Many children can’t go to school as usual. Now the foods have drawn the attention of the whole world. People from abroad have offered their help too. In China, millions of soldiers are busy fighting against the floods. They are working very hard. Many of them have lost their lives in their attempt to save the villagers. I believe most of the people will return to their homeland in the near future.
13. Nowadays, many Chinese can enjoy the luxury of owning a private car. Having a car of your own means no more traveling to work on crowded buses or subway trains, and you can drop off the children at school on the way. Moreover, it also means that you can enjoy the weekends and holidays better, because with a car you can go to places where the regular buses and trains can not go. However, there are drawbacks to own a car. For one thing, with the increase in car ownership in recent years, the roads are becoming more and more crowded, often making the journey to be a nightmare. For another, it is not cheap to run a car, the prices of gasoline and repairs are constantly rising, and you have to pay for a license and insurance coverage.
14. Internet is coming into our life. It brings us not only a lot of convenience, but also troubles. Some students use Internet as a tool to study. They look up the meanings of the words, a translated form of a sentence, the information of a company or a famous person etc. They also read news or send e-mails through it. Internet helps them learn more and study well. On the other hand，some students play games，chat with friends，see the pictures or films even the unhealthy ones on the Internet the whole day. They are not interested in their subjects. It’s very dangerous for them! The Internet advantages and disadvantages are shown clearly to us. I think we should make good use of it and stay away from the unhealthy websites.
15. Suzhou is a beautiful place in Southeast of China. It was built over 2500 years ago. So Suzhou is an old city with a long history. It’s famous for its gardens and Hanshan Temple. We are all proud of them. Many foreign tourists come to see them. In Suzhou, There are lots of old constructions like Tiger Hill, Bessie Pagoda and so on. After visiting them, you’ll be tired. But don’t be worried. There are also lots of snack shops in Suzhou. They are different from those in Western countries. Suzhou is a modern city as well as an old city. There are lots of tall buildings and many other modern constructions in Suzhou, too. You can find hundreds of people in smart clothes in the street. What a beautiful city it is!
16. Everybody has a dream, because we’re dreamers. Sometimes the dream is perfect, sometimes it’s special, sometimes it’s sweet. In my dream, there are some children. I always play games with them and enjoy ourselves. In my dream, there is a special sky. In our world, the sky is blue, but the sky of my dream is pink and some angels are having fun there. In my dream, white bird can fly high, flowers can sing songs, frogs have a jump race, tomatoes are blue, potatoes are yellow and all the things are different. In my dream, Chinese people, Korean people, Japanese people, Italian people, Spanish people, American people and Russian people are hand in hand. All the people smile forever. It is a peaceful world. In my dream, everything is wonderful, but our world is not. So we should make our world get more beautiful!
17. In current society, people have known the importance of keeping healthy and good life habit. In the past, people ate three meals at home, and they ate more vegetables and less meat and fish. They were very strong and seldom went to see doctors. Now life is better, people eat more meat, fish, eggs and other food with more fat. They often go out for good meals with their families and friends. But they get easy to be ill, Why? I think more meat and fish, less exercise are bad for health. Good rest, less meat and fish, more vegetables and enough exercise are good for health. We should eat fruit and drink milk every day. So the better we get into good eating habits, the happier our life becomes.
18. I like Christmas, it is just like our Spring Festival. Because we can spend time with our families, friends and classmates during Christmas. When it is snowy, Christmas becomes much more lovely. I can imagine I am in a fairy tale, the girl who sold the matches is my friend, the ugly duck becoming more and more beautiful and so on. What a beautiful place! So we can also call Christmas “snowy lovely day.”On Christmas day, shops are red and green. There are so many Christmas cards, Christmas hats, Christmas dolls and many colorful things. We can give a card or a doll to our friends and say “Merry Christmas.” By the way, I think studying can also become much more interesting.

As the start of spring as well as a new year, it is the most important celebration of the year. On the Eve, there is a big dinner for the family when each member returns to get together. The biggest New Year party is held on CCTV. Hundreds of people gather there, meanwhile millions of others all over the country were sitting in front of the screen to watch excellent performances. The bell strikes twelve at midnight to welcome the coming of the New Year or Spring. People start to set off firecrackers and say "Happy New Year" to each other.
20. With the development of the modern technology，private car is no longer a luxurious thing for ordinary people. More and more people drive to work instead of going by bus. The popularization of private car has many advantages. First，it is very convenient and time-saving and you can drive your own car to the workplace instead of waiting for the crowded bus and afraid of being late for working. Second，it can also improve the traffic structure，and help mitigate the stress of the traffic. Third，the popularization of private car can help to promote the car industry and any other interrelated industries. I believe that in the future the private car will become the most important vehicle and we can't live without it.
21. Smile, how warm the word is! It can make anyone happy and this happiness is from the bottom of heart. It’s not like enthusiastic laughter, but just warm, makes your heart warm.
