Unit 6. Could you please tell me where the restrooms are?
一、 宾语从句     
宾语从句在复合句中作主句的宾语。
 句型构成： 连接词+ 主语+ 谓语　
  1. 常由下面的一些连接词引导：
  ①由that 引导 ，表示陈述意义 that 可省略
     E.g. He says (that) he is at home. 他说他在家里。
  ②由if , whether 引导 ，表示一般疑问意义(带有是否、已否、对否等)
      E.g. I don’t know if / whether Wei Hua likes fish. 我不知道韦华是否喜欢鱼。
  ③由连接代词（who, whom, whose, what, which）、连接副词（when, where, why, how） 引
导 ,表示特殊疑问意义
      E.g. Do you know what he wants to buy?  你知道他想要买什么吗？
2. 宾语从句的语序
宾语从句的语序应为陈述句的语序。例如：
I hear (that) physics isn’t easy.
I think (that) you will like this school soon.
Can you tell me how I can get to zoo?
Please tell me when we’ll have the meeting.
3. 从句时态要与主句一致
   ①当主句是一般现在时，从句根据情况使用任何时态
    He says (that ) he is at home. 他说他在家里。
    I don’t know (that) she is singing now. 我不知道她正在唱歌。
    She wants to know if I have finished my homework. 她想知道我是否已经完成了我的作业。
    Do you know when he will be back? 你知道他将会什么时候回来？
   ②当主句是一般过去时，从句应使用过去某时态(一般过去时,过去进行时，过去将来时，
过去完成时)
    He said (that) he was at home. 他说他在家里。
    I didn’t know that she was singing now. 我不知道她正在唱歌。
She wanted to know if I had finished m homework. 她想要知道我是否已经完成了我的作业。
Did you know when he would be back? 你知道他将会什么时候回来？
4. 宾语从句中的否定前移
①当主句的主语为I, We，且位于动词为think, believe等词时，只能在主句中否定；
如：I don’t think he will come tomorrow. 我认为他明天不会来。
②在其它人称中，则不需要否定前移。
如：They think that the man is not a qualified teacher. 他们认为那个老师不是一个合格的老师。
5. 宾语从句的反义疑问句
①当主句的主语为I, We，且谓语动词为think, believe等词时，肯定/否定由主句定，而人称、动词由从句定；
如：I don’t think he will come tomorrow, will he?
我认为他明天不会来，是吗？
We believe you will live a happy life here in Chengdu, won’t you?
我们相信你会在成都过得很快乐的，是吗？
②在其它人称中，肯定/否定以及人称、动词都有主句确定；
如：He told me that he was preparing for the sports meet, didn’t he?
Scientists have proved that the earth turns around the sun, haven’t they?

二．get 的用法：v.  得到、买、到达
1. get译为“得到，买”时，其后直接加名词：
get some information about money ___________________
get some magazines__________________
得到一些钱________________________

2. get译为“到达”时，其结构通常为：get to+地方
到达邮局_____________________
到达超市_____________________
到达书店_____________________

三．重点句型
1. 问路常用的句子：
     Do you know where …is ?
     Can you tell me how can I get to …?
Could you tell me how to get to …？
2. Can/Could/Will/Would you please tell me sth. 表示十分客气地询问事情
3. Could you tell me how to get to the park? 请你告诉我怎么才能去公园好吗？
其中的how to get to the park 是疑问词与动词不定式连用，用作宾语，但不是宾语从句，
可是相当于how I can get to the park（宾语从句）如：
I don’t know how to solve the problem. 
== I don’t know how I can solve the problem.我不知道如何解决这个问题
 Can you tell me when to leave? 
==Can you tell me when I will leave? 你能告诉我什么时候离开？

四． 日常交际用语：
  take the elevator / escalator to the … floor乘电梯/自动扶梯到…楼
  turn left / right === take a left / right  向左/ 右转
  go past 经过    go straight 向前直走

五．decide的用法
1. It was sunny and hot, so we __________ to go to the beach near our hotel.
天气炎热，因此我们决定到宾馆附近的海滩上去。

   其中的to hang out修饰前面名词place，不定式作定语.
E.g. There are something to eat. 这有吃的东西。
其中的to eat修饰代词something，作定语。
译一译：这是一个游览的好地方。

  八． depend on的用法
depend on+ sth / doing / 从句 , 译为：根据、依靠、依赖、决定于
   E.g. Living things depend on the sunlight.生物对阳光有依赖性。
   We can’t depend on his answer. 我们不能根据他的回答。
   That depends on how you did it. 那决定于你怎样做这件事。
九．Prefer的用法：v.  更喜欢，宁愿 
常用的结构有：
1. prefer sth. 更喜欢某事 E.g. I prefer English. 我更喜欢英语。
   2. prefer doing/ to do 宁愿做某事 E.g. I prefer sitting/ to sit.我宁愿坐着。
   3. prefer sth to sth. 同…相比更喜欢… E.g. I prefer dogs to cats. 与猫相比我更喜欢狗。
   4. prefer doing to doing 宁愿做某事而不愿做某事
E.g. I prefer walking to sitting. 我宁愿走路也不愿坐着
   5. prefer to do rather than do 宁愿做某事而不愿做某事
     E.g. I prefer to work rather than be free. 我宁愿工作而不愿闲着。
十．lend sb. sth. ＝  lend sth.to sb. 把…借给某人
  Lily lent me her book. 莉莉把她的书借给了我。

十一．等级/同级比较：as…as ，not as/so…as
1. as + 形容词/ 副词原级 + as ：表示“和…一样的…”“…和…一样的…”
  E.g. He works as hard as we. 他工作和我们同样努力。
2. 否定式：not as + 形容词/ 副词原级 + as
== not so + 形容词/ 副词原级 + as
He doesn’t work as hard as we. 他工作没有我们那样努力。
