We needed to find a nurse to help care for my mother, and not just any nurse. Mother had been the best and a most beautiful nurse herself. She could soothe (安慰) a crying child or calm a worried parent. What's more, she had a beautiful soul. Her good attitude could make everyone feel better before they saw the doctor

I believe in the challenge to accomplish something extraordinary. I gained this belief from the book Guinness World Records, which showed me the value of equal opportunity and competition.
When I was nine, I liked to visit the library with my friend Leanne, and we would read that book. Reassured by Mrs Balanoff, our third-grade teacher, that we could be anything when we grew up, we felt challenged by it. And with the special focus, we took on the daily task of finding our place in the universe.
The book taught me to believe that we could achieve something seemingly impossible. I was captured by the fame included in that book: “the fastest”,“ the longest”,“ the widest”,“ the most whatever you could imagine. It opened up the possibilities of what I might be able to do.
We were attracted to the attraction of the unusual. So Leanne settled on holding her breath for the longest time, and I decided to make the world’s largest cookie. Thus, Leanne joined the swim team, and I gained ten pounds.
The book taught me determination and, more importantly, the desire to do something unexpected. Many people in the book were laughed at by their family and friends for what they were doing, yet they did it.
In college, I decided to study Arabic. Attracted by its pronunciation, I fell in love with it. After graduation, to put my skills to use, I moved to Cairo and then to Tunisia, where I have been working to help divorced women.
I am not saving the world, I am not the best at what I do, but I am only twenty-four—there’s still time. The book helped give me a new perspective on the impossible and fixed in me the desire. I believe in making the impossible a reality, and I hope to break a few records myself someday.

The loss of human lives is the most painful effect that reckless teen driving has on society, but it doesn't end there. In the United States in 2005, 4, 544 teens between the ages of 16 and 19 died from injuries caused by a motor vehicle crash. That year, teenagers accounted for 10 percent of the US population, but they made up 12 percent of motor vehicle crash deaths.
Most people today learn to drive during their teenage years. However, according to the National Safety Council (NSC), this may not be the best time to get behind the wheel. According to the NSC, “The area of the brain that weighs consequences, suppresses impulse and organizes thoughts does not get fully developed until people are 25.” Hormones(荷尔蒙) are also very active in teenagers.
