◆ Which films did he/she act in?
这些问题的回答都必须要涉及体育、电影、音乐等一类话题中的内容。这些话题我们在后面几讲中都会有具体的论述。所以我们在准备的时候一定切忌太小范围的押题，而是要对常考的话题有一个系统的学习，这样才干在考试中应对自如，取得满意的成绩。
此外，还有些问题和这些名人的独特之处有关，比如：
◆ How has he/she influenced you?
◆ What is special about him/her?
◆ Why would you like to meet him/her?
关于这类话题的解答可以从这些名人所取得的成就，独特的性格等方面进行论述。下面我们就来看一张关于体育明星的话题卡：
Describe a Sports Star
Describe a sports star you admire。
You should say:
Who the person is。
What he/she did。
What is special about him/her。
And Explain why you would like to meet him/her。

He is the icon of Chinese sport and the most popular Olympic athlete. He is as famous as Houston Rockets center Yao Ming in China. You may have figured out who I am going to describe today. Yes, its Liu Xiang, the Flying Man, whose image is slapped everywhere, no matter on buses, billboards or television advertisements. His importance to China can never be overestimated。
关于一个知名度非常高的人，我们完全不必须要在开头直接报出其名字。可以先设置一下悬疑，罗列一下这个人的独特个性、头衔、作品等极具代表性的东西，这样可以引起听者的兴趣。同时，在这里也用了类比的方法，同时提到了刘翔和姚明，让听者对所要描述的人有个更好的熟悉。
最后，我严重指出：中〔国学〕生最大的一个问题通常是说话过于笼统，喜爱泛泛而谈。其实这样不仅增加了自己用词上的难度(要知道其实抽象概念通常是最难描述的)，也使讲话的内容非常空洞无聊。其实我们该从小处着手。比如当我们要说某个人非常有名的时候，单单一个famous说明不了什么问题，我们可以说此人的形象随处可见，再把"随处'这个概念细化成buses, billboards, television advertisements，就能起到很好的效果。那么在这里，像这样的细化句型no matteror也是相当值得我们学习的。
2雅思口语描述喜剧明星

Describe a famous comic actor in your country. You should say:
who the person is;
which film or program he or she acted in;
what role he or she acted;
and explain why you like him or her.
这道题目是个非常经典的半新题，与之前的明星话题重合，同时涉及到部分影视方面的东西。但这两类都属于常规题目。
首先，我们来看看，提到名人。都会有什么样虽然老套，但依旧可以拿出来讲的东西呢?那就是名人很有名，具体的表现形式是怎样的呢?
一旦成名了，明星就变成各大媒体追逐的对象了 become the focus of the media, 然后动不动就会上个头条什么的(often) make the headlines。另外关于出名这件事儿，有些人是靠脸，有些可是靠演技的实力派。因此his vivid/faultless/superb performance 就可以派上用场，或者his diligence helped him earn his fame,还有modest attitude spirit of persistence等等。

关于喜剧演员，起码要做到make audience cant help laughing/make somebody laugh to tears/ roar with laughter。诸如黄渤，王宝强，本山大叔之类。但大家有没有发现，这类明星都是非常接地气，没有什么明星架子的。这类亲民明星，都具备一个特质就是folksy and unpretentious.
在具体陈述的过程中，大家一定要记得一点：不管什么样的描述，一定要有具体的例证去证实自己的言论。诸如：某某明星特别努力。那么接下来的例子一定是可以证实他是个努力的人。For example, he gets up before 5 in the morning and practices his lines over and over again even when hes already very famous.
接下来讲到名人，还可以用的一个套路就是名人都会参加到慈善事业中来。这样可以在社会道德高度拔高一下名人的影响。例如：
Hes been devoting his time and money to charity work for years/almost a decade/decades. Because of his contribution, kids in that small village finally had the chances to get access to primary school education. So everybody respects him from the bottom of heart.
讲到这个地方基本就可以完美收尾了。如果表达的过程中细节和例子够充足的话，差不多考官也要打断你了。

Im going to talk about a musician that I admire, called... Hes a singer who also plays the guitar and writes his own songs. I think he recorded his first album about 10 years ago, and hes released several other CDs since then.
He became successful after many years of writing songs and performing live in small venues all over the country. Gradually he built a following of people who liked his music. I think the key to his success was one of his songs that was used on a TV advertisement. This meant that more people became aware of his music.
I found out about... because one of my friends got tickets to see him in concert. I hadnt heard any of his music before, but I went along to the gig and really enjoyed it. After that I bought the first CD, and now Ive got all of them.
The reason I admire... is that he has worked hard for his success: it takes years of practice to become a good singer and guitarist, and he spent several years playing to very small audiences before he became successful. I also like the fact that he writes his own music. I admire people who have worked hard to get where they are.
Note: Gig is an informal word for concert or performance, but its fine to use it in this context.

1.Who is your favorite celebrity in your country?
I guess not only me, a number of young people have been highly impressed by her for the past months- Deshauna Barber. She is our 2016 Miss USA and the representative of USA in Miss Universe taking place in Las Vegas in the same year. After the beauty contests, she became well-known for her outstanding beauty, her amazing characteristics and also her professionalism.
2. Do you like any foreign celebrities?
Absolutely. The person Im gonna talk about is my bias ever since I was a teenage girl-Miley Cyrus I guess most people at the same age as me grew up with Disney Channel and among its successful series, Hannah Montanah starring Miley Cyrus would always be on top of my list. Although now shes grown up, Im still a big fan of her amazing voice and highly inspiring songs.
3.Would you like to be a celebrity? Why?
Well though Ive never thought about it, Im pretty sure that rising to stardom would never be one of my life goals. I appreciate all the efforts that the celebrities, no matter which field theyre working on, are making every single day. However, I find myself not belong to that world, I mean, you never know whats going on when the curtains close, right? So yeah, I dont think I want to become a public figure, to be honest.
4. Do you think we should protect famous peoples privacy?
Indeed. As you probably can tell, these days fans, anti-fans and even non-fans are so curious about what their bias are doing. Some are aggressive that they mentally attack their bias by leaving bad comments online. Some even approach them in person on the street, especially the so-called paparazzi. Thus I strongly agree that there should be some regulations to protect the celebrities privacy.
5. How do celebrities influence their fans in your country?
I think the influence of celebrities on fans is extensive. Its somehow natural to follow our bias and try to be like them. At the first place it could probably be just physical changes like clothing, hairstyle or makeup. However thanks to social network, fans and idols are much closer now, sometimes its just a status away. However this mental connection is a two-edged sword, meaning the idols actually need to be more careful about their lifestyle or their manners.
