(1)These days, many kinds of goods tent to be excessively packaged, especially gifts. People seem to be more and more attracted to the beautiful decorations, rather than the commodity itself. There may be several reasons for this phenomenon.
Firstly, many consumers are not sensible enough. They are easily captured by the nice appearance of the goods they intend to buy. So the salesmen take it as a way to attract their potential consumers. Secondly, ad more importantly, people today buy things not only for themselves, but also for their leaders, workmates, or friends. In this case, the quality and practical users of the goods may give way to nice-looking packing.
As far as I am concerned, excessive packing is really an unnecessary waste. It is of no practical use, and people always throw its package away at once. So it is quite urgent to curb this kind of phenomenon. For the consumers, they need to be more sensible. And for manufacturers, what they should do is not attract people with useless decorations, but provide commodities of better quality.
(2)Recently, there had been a growing concern among the public over the phenomenon that a variety of products are over packaged.
We can easily identify several factors that account for this phenomenon. I the first place, nowadays, customer tend to buy things which look more beautiful whether they are clothes or food. And therefore, the factories try their best to package their products ad make their products as possible. Secondly, as merchants want to make more money they pay more attention to the products’ packaging, but not the products’ quality. And this results in excessive packaging.
From what we have discussed above, excessive packaging is by no means a waste of resources. I assume that this phenomenon does no good to us and our environment. Personally, I believe that our government should make some laws to ban excessive packaging. What’s more, we customers are not supposed to purchase excessive packaged products. Only by enforcing these proposed measures can we resolve this problem eventually, effectively ad effectively.
Nothing Succeeds Without a Strong Will
The humorous saying, “Quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I’ve done it hundreds of times”, illustrates the astonishing yet common occurrence that many people try hard to give up a bad habit but in vain. They fail because they lack a strong will. In fact, nothing succeeds without a strong will.
Take Thomas Edison for example. He is well-known for his large number of inventions which were created through thousands of unsuccessful experiments. Had it not been for his strong will, he would have merely been wasting time and money achieving nothing. Not surprisingly, Edison’s perseverance is actually a common quality among successful people.
