Teaching procedures: Step1 (设疑自探) ① T: In this period , we are going to talk about the earthquake. First ,lets look at some pictures and learn the new words : level sad calm These pictures are about the Wen Chuan earthquake. It was level (级别) 7.8 . Many people lost their family and friends, so they felt very sad () .But the soldiers(战士) and nurses all kept calm (镇静的) . ②Listen to the 1a and finish 1b. Mark T (True) or F (False) . Then check the answers. 1. The level of the Yushu earthquake was 6.1. ( ) 2. Running out of the door is safer. ( ) 3. The most important thing is to stay calm. ( ) ③Listen again and fill in the blanks in 1c. Then ask a student to show the answers on the blackboard and check the answers together. 1c The Yushu earthquake was terrible. Many fell down. The earthquake more than two thousand people and more people. Many children their homes and couldn’t go to school. Miss Wang told them that running out of the door could be and the most important thing is to calm . ④Read 1a carefully and try to ask some questions according to the learning arms. 预设: (1)The important phrases.
