一、教学内容、目的和要求(from Teacher’s Book)
题材内容与学习目的
本模块主题是音乐,两篇阅读文章分别介绍了三位外国音乐家和一位中国音乐家。音乐是学生非常感兴趣的一个话题,教师应该在帮助学生应用新学到的语言知识,开展听,说,读,写等语言实践活动的同时,丰富学生的音乐知识,提高学生的艺术修养。

任务
1.将全班同学分成几组(四人或五人一组),每一小组全体成员合作撰写一篇文章或将收集到的图文资料做成多媒体幻灯片,介绍一位著名的音乐家或作曲家(本模块提到的四位除外)
2.讲全班同学分成两大组,举行一场辩论.
组1:喜欢中国音乐,不喜欢外国音乐.
组2: 喜欢外国音乐,不喜欢中国音乐.
两组辩手必须陈述喜欢和不喜欢的理由.
二、模块具体教学内容分析
本模块的主题是音乐,词汇,句型,语法,语篇的中心内容以及听,说,读,写等学生活动都围绕这一主题展开.由于该主题深受学生喜爱,教师在教学中应调动学生的积极性,发挥学生的主体作用,借助音乐名曲欣赏,音乐知识问答,音乐家介绍等多种形式活跃课堂气氛,提高教学效率.
Introduction
该部分包括两个活动,复习和学习常见的乐器名称,并通过有关音乐常识的问答来促进学生进一步熟悉词汇.
Reading and Vocabulary
学习介绍音乐家海顿,莫扎特和贝多芬的课文,进行相关的读前和读后活动,训练综合技能.
Grammar 1
巩固,复习时间状语从句
Writing
阅读一份电子邮件,回答问题并写下答案。
Function
通过回答问题和完成句子,帮助学生归纳和总结表示喜好和厌恶的常见表达。
Listening and Vocabulary
该部分共有四项活动。练习听力前的Activity1和Activity2帮助学生了解有关乐队the Beatles的背景知识,并复习听力部分将出现的新词汇的基本含义。Activity3和Activity4要求学生听一段介绍乐队的the Beatles短文,判断正误并做笔记。
Grammar 2
复习过去完成时态。Activity1和Activity2通过例句帮助学生观察和归纳过去完成时的基本用法。Activity3和Activity4要求学生用所给动词的正确时态填空、

与本模块话题内容相关及训练目的相一致,可以整合为以培养学生说的能力为主要目的课,用着本模块的新课导入。
Reading and Vocabulary 为本模块的重要内容,教师要充分利用课文内容对学生进行阅读训练和指导阅读策略,从而培养学生借助阅读材料获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力,并适当渗透对文章鉴赏能力的培养,教会学生初步分析好词、好句及文章结构,提高适当运用语言的能力。

与本模块话题内容相关及训练目的相一致,可以整合为以培养训练学生听力为主的课。
Period Three
Culture corner + Writing
在内容上基本一致,可以整合成一节以培养学生阅读语篇推断主旨大意,叙述介绍情况,最终以文字形式表达思想的综合能力实践课。
Period Four
Grammar 1+2利用语法学案,对本节课的语法、功能进行组合,可以整合成一节语法功能课。
Period Five
Module File整合本模块的重点单词、短语、句型,进行分类讲解和练习,教会学生灵活运用,最终培养学生的语言准确性,提高语言运用水平。建议本部分内容单独进行,不与其他课混合进行,影响学生对语言知识的掌握。
Period 1: Introduction+ Reading and Vocabulary +Function
Task
Help students learn new words about music and lead in the topic of this module.
1.Know the words and expression related to the music.
2. Know the kinds of music by listening different music.
3. Know some musicians and some musical instruments.
4. Help students study new words and expressions on a biography of a famous musician and finish the reading task in this module.
5.Enable the Ss to talk about music.
6. Help the Ss learn to express their feelings and opinions.
Teaching method
1.Look at some pictures to learn some new words.
2. Individual, pair or group work to make every student work in class.
Part One
Step One

Step Two
Warming up: Listening to different music and tell what kinds of music they are.
Discuss what kind of music they like best and why?
Step Three
Introduction:
1. Word study: Look at the pictures and fill in the blanks.
2. Look at the pictures and label the instruments.
3. Discussion: which of the instruments do they like best?
Which famous musicians play them?
Is the Chinese instrument different from the other instruments?
Encourage students to describe differences.
Step Four
Discussion: Encourage Ss to speak out their feelings for music. Use the following questions as a guide.(likes or dislikes)
1. How important is music in your life?
2. What is your favourite kind of music?
3. What other kinds of music do you listen to ?
4. Where do you listen to music?
5. When do you listen to music?
6. How often do you listen to music?
Part 2
Step One
1.Show the pictures of the three musicians mentioned in the passage and their music and see if students can guess who they are.(说明:播放音乐,点击图片)
2.Skimming: Find out the main idea and then finish Activity 2.on Page 22.
Step Two
1.Scanning: Help Ss to find out the answers to the questions in Activity3 on Page 23 After reading the passage, fill in the table by students themselves.

现在分词的一般式作状语,表示动作与谓语动词同时发生;现在分词的完成形式作状语,表示动作发生在谓语动词前
在以上两个句子中, v-ing作时间状语且其逻辑主语必须和主句的主语保持一致。
3. 翻译下列句子,体会talent的用法
1). He has a great talent for music.
她很有音乐天赋。
2). He is a great talent.
他是个了不起的人才。
3). He was a talented architect.
他是个很有才能的建筑师。
4. By the time he was 14, Mozart had composed many pieces for the harpsichord, piano and violin, as well as for orchestras.
by the time “ 到…时候”;若后面所跟从句的谓语动词为一般过去时, 主句的谓语动词多用过去完成时。若从句谓语动词为一般现在时, 主句的谓语动词多用一般将来时。
5.翻译下列句子,体会impress的用法
1).Haydn met Mozart in 1781 and was very impressed with him.
2).海顿在1781年与莫扎特相遇, 莫扎特给他留下了深刻印象。

1. The adverbial clause of time
1). 常见的连接时间状语从句的连接词有:
when, while, as, before, after, until/till, since, ever since, as soon as, whenever, no sooner… than, hardly / scarcely… when 等
2). 时间状语从句可以转换成分词短语。如:
