look after意为“照料；照顾”，是“动词 ＋ 介词”型短语，无论宾语是名词还是代词，都放在短语后面。look after与take care of意思相同，look after sb./sth. well相当于take good care of sb./sth.，意为“好好照看(顾)某人/某物”。
