外研九年级英语上册Module 3教学设计 一、指导思想:依据以国家《英语课程标准》对初级中学英语学习的目标及要求为依据,通过语言技能、语言知识、情感、策略与文化意识五个方面,培养学生的综合语言运用能力。 二、教材分析: 本模块以学生们喜爱参加的体育活动为主线,以谈论体育项目比赛和体育明星为题材来开展学习。能让学生在学习中了解我国体育运动情况和体育明星,并且学习运动员不畏艰险、顽强拼搏的精神。 1. 本模块的主要内容:本模块在复习前一模块中出现了一般现在时被动语态之外还大量地使用了一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态,并且对这一语法进行了系统的归纳,为进一步学习其他时态的被动语态做好了铺垫。使学生能更好地判断主动语态和被动语态的区别。 2. 本模块的重点: 掌握和正确使用下列单词和词组:allow, defeat, stand for, against, tough, encourage, medal, record, set, set up, first of all, represent, advertisement, coach, regularly, race, 掌握和正确使用下列句型:You’ve got no chance! What do you reckon? Don’t let them get to you! Nice work! First of all, he’ll be invited to competitions around the world. Now that he’s well known all over the world. But his coach Sun Haiping is making sure that he trains regularly. Then, in 1998, his skill at hurdling was noticed by his coach Sun Haiping. 理解下列单词和词组:sporting, season, overnight, yearbook, sportsman, hurdle, hurdling, sportsman, discussion, award, finishing line, marathon, turn, taekwondo, belt. 语法:一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态。 3. 本模块的难点: 如何熟练地运用本模块的单词、句型和词组。 能准确地运用一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态。 三、学情分析: 1、学生对话题的熟悉度:九年级学生对明星有强烈的好奇心,以及对新鲜事物强烈求知欲望,所以本模块就利用学生喜爱的篮球运动这一话题,激发学生的参与热情,调动起他们的学习积极性与主动性,发挥主动意识,积极参与课堂,从而达到我们的教学目的。 2、学生已有的基础:通过二年多的学习,学生已积累了一定的词汇量和能熟练地掌握动词的各种时态,加上前一模块的学习,此时学生能区别主动语态与被动语态的区别,并且掌握了一般现在时的被动结构。 3.、学生在学习中的困难预测:本模块新单词和词组较多,可能会影响学生在阅读中对课文的理解,读前应先预做处理。而本模块的内容是在前一模块的基础上进一步加深,学生不会有不知所措感,但毕竟是新的内容,因此,在教学的过程中,我们应该多举例子,让学生有机会去总结和发现语法规律。 四、教学目标: 1、知识目标: 掌握和正确使用下列单词和词组:allow, defeat, stand for, against, tough, encourage, medal, record, set, set up, first of all, represent, advertisement, coach, regularly, race, 掌握和正确使用下列句型:You’ve got no chance! Then, in 1998, his skill at hurdling was noticed by his coach Sun Haiping. 语法:一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态 语音:能正确地朗读课本的对话及课文。 2、能力目标:能听懂关于介绍体育比赛的对话,能够谈论自己喜欢的体育比赛或报道,能掌握从描写体育明星或体育活动的文章获取有效信息的技能,学会写一篇关于最喜欢的体育明星的短文。 五、课时分配及各课时教学内容: Period 1:Listening and vocabulary & Pronunciation and speaking Period 2:Reading and vocabulary Period 3:Writing& Around the world & Module task Period 4:Language in use. 六、教学过程: Period 1: Listening and vocabulary & Pronunciation and speaking Type of lesson: Listening and speaking 教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标: 学习并掌握下列词汇和句型:allow, defeat, stand for, against, tough, You’ve got no chance! What do you reckon? Don’t let them get to you! Nice work! 语法:学习一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态的结构和用法 2、能力目标:能在听懂关于介绍体育比赛的对话的同时谈论自己喜欢的运动队或体育明星。 3、情感目标:通过学习体育赛事的有关对话,培养学生将英语运用到日常会话中的能力;通过对体育明星的介绍开阔学生的视野,拓宽学生的兴趣爱好面。 教学重、难点:熟练运用本课新词及句型,灵活运用一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态的结构和用法 教学过程: Step 1: Lead-in 1. Warming up Hello, boys and girls! How are you? Nice to see you! It’s a nice day, isn’t it? Let’s do sports this afternoon. Do you like sport? What’s your favourite sport? 2. Lead in and present: Look, there are some pictures about sports. Let’s have a look at them. ( Talk about the pictures with the students) 设计目的:利用学生熟悉的话题激起学生的兴趣,投入到课堂讨论中来。从而引出本课的主题 Step 2: Activity 1 Choose several students to read the words in the box and check their pronunciation. Ask the students to look at the photos and describe them in groups. 设计目的:进一步地让学生来讨论学生的喜爱的运动来提高学生的口语能力,并且利用直观图片,为引出后面的听力内容做铺垫 Step 3 Listen and read: 1. Ask the students to listen to the tape and fill in the sentences: 1) The School’s Basketball Competition is the big ____________ next week. 2) BIG will play against HAS next _____________. 3) Betty is going to write a ____________ for New Standard。 4)Betty thinks they have got no _____________! 5) Tony and Daming think they will __________ the match. Then check the answers with the students. 设计目的:锻炼学生的听力水平,以及捕捉关键信息点的能力 2. Ask the students to listen to the tape for Activity 3 and then read through the dialogue. 3. Go through the main phrases and the sentences. 1) allow sb to do sth, 2) be defeated , 3) stand for, 4) play against, 5) a tough match, 6) You’ve got no chance! 7) What do you reckon? 8) Don’t let them get to you! 9) Nice work! Tell the students how to use these phrases and the sentences. 设计目的:锻炼学生的朗读能力,能正确地朗读本课对话同时适当讲解课文中的词组,加深学生记忆。 Step 4 Read and answer 1. Ask the students to complete the table in Activity 4. Then ask the students to discuss the answers in groups. Call out the answers. 2. Read the dialogue in pairs and finish Activity 5. choose several groups to answer the questions and check the answer. 设计目的:锻炼学生的朗读表演能力,强调对学生正确知识的输入,同时还要培养学生的自信心。 Step 5 Grammer Read Activity 3 with partners and find out the sentences with the simple future passive voice and simple past passive voice and write them down. You were defeated last time. When will the match be held? I wasn’t chosen this time. You won’t be allowed to watch with our fans if that’s what you think! Discuss and learn the structure of the simple future passive voice and simple past passive voice and translate the sentences. 设计目的:通过对对话的学习,让学生找出被动语态的句子并总结这两个时态的结构及用法,让学生体会到成功的喜悦及提高他们总结的能力。 Step 6 Pronunciation and speaking Play the tape and ask the students to listen and repeat. Tell them make sure they pause between each sense group. 设计目的:纠正学生的语音语调。 Step 7 Work in pairs. Work in pairs and do a survey about your partners’ favourite sports stars. 设计目的:让学生调查本班同学最喜欢的体育明星能进一步激起学生的兴趣。 Step 8 Homework Finish Exercises 1and 2 in the work book. 设计目的:加强对课上所学知识的巩固与练习。 板书设计: Unit 1 When will the match be held? allow sb to do sth, be defeated , stand for, play against, a tough match, You’ve got no chance! Then, in 1998, his skill at hurdling was noticed by his coach Sun Haiping. 语法:学习一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态的用法 2、能力目标:能掌握从描写体育明星或体育活动的文章获取有效信息的技能,了解刘翔的生平资料及跨栏运动。能提高阅读能力,掌握文本精髓。 3、情感目标:通过学习课文培养对运动的兴趣和作为中国人的自豪感。加强团队合作精神的培养,调动学生良性竞争的意识及英语学习的积极性。了解有关体育运动和竞技比赛的要素;了解当代体育明星成功的奋斗历程,用理性的思维体会成功背后的艰辛与努力,指导青少年学生的个人成长。 教学重、难点:熟练运用本课新词及句型,熟练地掌握一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态的用法 教学过程: Step 1 Lead-in 1. Warming up: play guessing game: the teacher says some main thing about Liu Xiang and ask the students to guess. 2. Show some pictures about Liu Xiang and ask students to describe him in their own words. 设计目的:先用一个猜谜游戏来将学生很好地引入新课,保持学生的新鲜感。 Step 2 New words Learn the new words in this unit. Spell and explain some of them 设计目的:为下一步的阅读能力的培养扫清障碍。 Step 3 Reading 1. Skimming: Skim “reading” within 2 minutes , try to read the passage and choose the sentence which best expresses the main idea in Activity 2. Then check the anwer. 设计目的:培养学生对文章主旨大意理解能力,能迅速浏览全文,抓住文章的主题句,明确作者的意图。 2. Scanning: Get the students to read the each paragraph of the passage and answer the teacher’s questions: 1) As a symbol, what does Liu Xiang represent? 2) Who is making sure that Liu Xiang trains regularly? 3) Is he an overnight success? 4) When and where was he born? 5) When did he win the first Olympic gold medal? 6) What will he be encouraged to do in the future? 设计目的:由教师带领学生一起分段阅读,同时每一段都出相应的问题来引导学生加深对课文的理解,并掌握英语阅读中扫读的一些技巧. 3. Task- reading: Get the students to read the passage carefully and finish Activity 3. And then check with a partner. Call back the answers from the whole class as complete. 设计目的:加深对阅读文章中一些细节内容的理解,从而更准确深入地理解文章. Step 4 Grammer Read Activity 2 with partners and find out the sentences with the simple future passive voice and simple past passive voice and write them down. First of all, he’ll be chosen to represent China at the Olympic Games. Liu Xiang will also be asked to appear in… Liu will be advised by ….. Liu was encouraged at first to train as a high jumper His skill at hurdling was noticed by his coach Liu was helped by a …. Discuss and learn the structure of the simple future passive voice and simple past passive voice and translate the sentences. Then, in 1998, his skill at hurdling was noticed by his coach Sun Haiping. 一般过去时被动结构: was/ were +done 一般将来时被动结构: will be +done Period 3: Writing& Around the world & Module task Type of lesson: Reading for writing 教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:运用上课学到的关于刘翔的词汇和句型 2、能力目标:能熟练使用and, although和because等连词来写一篇关于最喜欢的体育明星的短文。 3、情感目标:通过学习写一篇关于最喜欢的体育明星的短文来激发学生的写作热情。 教学重、难点:提高学生的写作水平 教学过程: Step 1 Lead-in Warming- up: Free talk about Liu Xiang; Present the title. 设计目的:因为前一课刚学过关于刘翔的课文,学生的兴趣会比较浓。 Step 2 Revision Help students to revise what is learnt in this module. Directions:       (1). Revise the words and phrases.       (2) Practice the dialogue and the text in groups or in pairs. 设计目的:通过读来巩固本模块所学的词汇和短语。 Step 3 Rewrite the notes in Activity 3 in full sentences. Ask the students to do this individually, then discuss their answer with a partner. Call back the answer. 设计目的:巩固本模块的语法又加深学生对阅读文章的内容的识记和理解。 Step 4 Activity 3 Read through the example sentences together and make sure the students understand the changes that were made between the active and passive sentences. Step 5 Write sentences about Zhang Yining Ask the students to do this individually, then discuss their answer in groups. After that, ask them to write a paragraph about Zhang Yining. Use and, although and because. 设计目的:对前一步骤进行巩固,因为主人公变成了体坛名将张怡宁,所以学生不会觉得枯燥。还能培养学生恰当使用连词,使文章符合逻辑、语言顺畅。 Step 6 Around the world Ask the students to read the passage and then answer some questions. 设计目的:通过阅读学生能了解残疾人奥运会,同时教育学生要关心和爱护残疾人,平等地对待他们,帮助他们。 Step 7 Module task Organising a class talk. Step 8 Homework Write a short passage about your favourite sports star. Period 4: Language in use Type of lesson: 复习课 教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:复习本模块尝过的有关单词、短语和句型。 2. 能力目标:了解有关马拉松比赛的知识和残奥会及其创办者的生平资料知识 3. 情感目标:通过学习课文培养学生爱运动的习惯和关爱他人的人文主义精神。 教学重、难点:一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态 教学过程: Step 1 Revision 1. Revise the main phrases and sentence in this module. 2. Read the dialogue and the passage together. 设计目的:强化本模块的重点词汇和句型,加强朗读能力。 Step 2. Revision the words 1. Ask the students to complete the conversation with the correct form of the words in the box. 2. check the answers 设计目的:复习本模块的单词,通过练习来巩固单词的掌握 Step3 Revision the Grammer. 1. Read the sentences in Language practice. Then talk about the simple future passive voice and simple past passive voice. 2. Finish the exercises in Activities 1 and 2and then check the answer 设计目的:复习语法,并通过练习来加强和巩固语法的掌握 Step 4 Do exercise Finish Activity 4 and5 Then ask the students to check the answer in groups. At last, call back the answer with the whole class. 设计目的:在前两步骤的复习基础上加强学生掌握词汇在课文中的运用以及对本模块内容的进行强化训练。 Step 5 Look at the pictures and put them in the correct order. At first ask the students to put the picture in the correct order, and then check the answers in groups. Then ask the students to use the words under each pictures to discuss this true event of the Olympics in London in pairs. Finally, call back the answers in a whole class setting. 设计目的:通过一个真实故事来教育学生面对困难时要有无所畏惧的精神来克服它,战胜它。同时培养学生看图写话的能力。 Step 6. Do the listening (Activity 6 and 7) Ask the students to read through the sentences by themselves and then play the tape twice for the students to finish Activity 6 and 7. Check the answers with the whole class. 设计目的:训练学生从听力材料中获取有效字面信息的练习。 Step 7 Homework Finish the exercises in the workbook.
