Teaching Procedures:
Step1: Warming up
1. Show them some pictures and try to recall the four great inventions in ancient China and then get to know more about inventions in nowadays.
2. Watch a short video about the invention of the telephone.
Step2: Presentation
1. Guessing
Give some riddles and ask students to guess what the inventions are. The purpose is to make them memorize the new words about inventions.
2. Talk about inventions and use the target language to describe them.

3. Listening
Finish 1b, and check the answers.
5. Work in pairs to practice the dialogues.
