Module 8 Unit 1
教材分析:
本模块以“规则”为话题进行教学。本单元围绕着这个话题来谈论交通规则的注意事项,学生应该遵守的规章制度。在这种特定的情景下,学生自然而然的接触到情态动词和它们的用法。这话题贴近学生的实际生活,学生自然感到有话可说。他们体会到英语学习的成功的喜悦。通过运用远程资料,该话题很能够调动学生学习的积极性,并让他们学会对自己感兴趣的不同场合的规则表达出来。我让几个学生分批扮演小老师来组织教学,
语言知识目标:

学习策略目标:
1 自学策略:通过课本上典型的情景进行反复训练,通过观察、总结,归纳并掌握情态动词的用法。
2 合作学习策略:通过交通规则及在不同的场合应遵守的规则为话题,主动用英语与同学交流相关的规章制度。
文化意识目标:
了解不同国家和区域的有关交通规则,学校相关场所的规则制度,通过中外各种规章制度的对比,加深对中国文化的了解。
情感态度目标:
通过对话形式展开课堂教学内容,在了解交通规则的基础上,开拓学生的视野,增长地理及中西文化背景知识,培养对美好事物的热爱。
教学重点:
1 掌握情态动词: can , can’t 的用法。
2 掌握表达禁止,请求,询问的表达。
教学难点:
运用情态动词描写与主题相关的各种规章制度,并增强用英语准确、流利地表达询问、许可以及禁止的交通能力。

Step 1 Greetings
相互问候,拉近师生的距离。消除一些学生不敢开口说英语的心理。
Ask the studente the questions:
1 How are you , boys and girls ?
2 What’s the weather like today ?
3 What day is it today ?
4 Are we all here ?
1 Greet the teacher .
2 Think about the teacher’s questiongs.
Step 2 Warm up
熟悉单词,为后面的进一步学习作好准备
Show the students some pictures . Learn the new words:sign , footpath , park , turn ,cycle , leave
Read and learn the new words.Can understand the new words.
Step 3 Presentation:
积极开发远程课程资源,通过多媒体,让学生了解交通规则。
让学生掌握对话中关于禁止、许可、询问、命令的表达,从而提升学生学习英语的运用能力。
1播放课文第一部分的听力,让学生根据所听到的内容小结交通规则

2 Show the pictures in Part 1 to the students.Let them summarize what they can do and what they can’t do.

4 Show some pictures about the policemen’s gestures. Then ask :Do you understand the sign language of the policemen’s ?
1 Listen to the situation carefully about what kind of problem they meet ,and try to answer the questions .
2 Look at the pictures on the screen , try to use the key words to say what they can do and what they can’t do .
3 Act the sign language out after the teacher.
Step 4 Further studying
结合当前的安全教育,展示一些安全的资料视频,进一步学习交通规则,对学生进行安全教育,培养自我保护的意识。
1 Show the pictures about accidents at the swimming pool.Ask the students what they should do at the swimming pool.
2 Listen to Part 3 and tick the right rules,then check the answers.
1 Think about the teacher’s questions and try to answer.
2 Listen to the tape and finish the exercises.
Step 5 Group work
设计头脑风暴游戏,在特定的情景下,说出到Disneyland 游泳,通过分组活动,让学生发挥创造思维,讨论在游泳时的相关规则,以便让学生达到综合运用语言进行交际的目的。
1设计去迪思尼乐圆渡假的情景,组织学生综合运用本课的交通规则的能力。
2 Divide the class into groups . Work out the rules about what they can do and what they can’t do .
3 Choose the team leaders to report their discussion .
1 Discuss the rules with their group members and write down the rules.
2 Show the rules to others and give comments about other students’ performance.

让学生对本单元的内容更熟悉,跟巩固,心中更有数。
