1. Talk about fun places to arouse the ss’ interest in the past experience.
2. Asking-and-answering activities to improving the ss’ speaking ability.

1.A tape recorder
2. The blackboard
3. A computer with PowerPoint
Teaching procedures:
Step1: Greeting
Greet the class as usual.
Step 2.Lead-in
T: Do you often visit any places on weekends or holidays?
Ss: Yes.
T: When do you usually go?
S1: Parks and zoos on Sundays. There are many kinds of animals in the zoo in our city
T: (asks more students)
S2: On holidays my family and I go to visit some places of interest. I have been to the Great Wall and the Palace Museum in Beijing…
(Note: Ask more students to answer the questions above, if the same negative answer, help answer “me neither”)
Step3: Presentation and Pairwork
T: Really? That sounds wonderful. Today I will present you some other fun places. Let us see some pictures first and you should guess where it is.
(Show pictures of space museum, amusement park, aquarium, zoo, Water Park)
Let students speak out where it is and repeat the words several times.
Then the teacher asks, and the students answer.
T: Have you ever been to the space museum?
S1: Yes, I have.
S2: No, I haven’t.
S3: Me neither.
(Note: Ask more students to answer the question)
T: Now, ask and answer questions with your partner about the places in the pictures show here.
E.g.
S1: Have you ever been to an aquarium?
S2: No, I haven’t. How about you?
S1: …
Step4: Listening
T: Now, let some other students talk about their past experience. Are these students ever been to these places? Check the boxes.
(Play the recording. When it finishes, check on the students’ answers. If necessary, play the recording again)
Play the recorder again. Call students to read after the radio to imitate the pronunciation and innotation.
Step5.Practice
Task 1 Look and Guess
After reading after the recorder,give students one or two minutes,let them find the sentences using the present perfect tense from the tapescript. Ask them to read out. Then,the teacher present the use of the present perfect tense,such as the definition,the structure,and the differences between the general past tense and the present perfect tense. Finally,let students do some exercise to enhance their memories.
Task2 Make a Report
Give students a chart which includes what; when; how; where. Have students look at the chart and the sample article, ask their partner about these questions, write an article and share it in class.
Step 6: Summary
T: this class we’ve learnt some key words and structures.
Step7.Homework
Interview your parents where they have been to, and make a tourist plan for the coming holiday
