一、教学理念和教学策略
教学理念:《英语课程标准》提倡学生体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式,采用任务型教学途径,发展学生综合运用语言能力,围绕语言学习目标,结合学生的心理和年龄特点运用学生乐于参与的活动,是教师必须探索的问题。
教学策略:
在教材处理上,始终贯穿“谈论问题、给出建议”这一主线,坚持激发兴趣、体验参与、自主探究、合作学习、学以致用的原则。
二、教学目标
1知识目标:
正确使用情态动词should、could,掌握使用新单词
2能力目标:
(1)能谈论自己的麻烦和问题。
(2)能为他人的烦恼问题找到合适的解决办法,提出合理的建议。
3情感目标:
通过各种烦恼和困惑的解决,学会反思自己,体谅他人,树立合作探究意识。
确立教学目标的依据:
根据新课程标准的规定,通过听说读写的训练,让学生获得英语基础知识,运用英语进行交际的能力,激发和培养学生学习兴趣,发展自主究就学习能力。
三、教学重难点
教学重难点
根据语言目标和学生特点,本课的教学重点为:学会使用情态动词should、could。 难点:能够运用所学语言谈论问题和烦恼,提出合理建议。
四、教法和教学手段
说教法与手段
根据本课语言结构运用的特点,确立如下教学方法和手段:
1.情景教学法,以真实的情境,调动学生的参与热情,在用中学。
2.听说读写技能训练,培养语言综合运用能力。
3.导入和任务设计遵循由浅入深、由易到难、循序渐进。
五、教学过程
Step1Preparation for phrases
[设计这环节的目的,检查预习情况,有词语互译,是为了学生语言学习作铺垫]
T: Class begins. Hello, teacher!
S: Hello, everyone!
T: Now preparation for phrases. Take out your paper. Group work..
Translate the following phrases .Teacher moves around the classroom and offers help if necessary .
S: Check each other.
Step 2 Tell the answers :
S :Instead of teacher , she asks students to translate the phrases and help them to explains .
S1 :ask for help
S2:borrow sth from sb
S3 :buy gift for sth
S: explains ,应改为“ buy sth for sb ”
S4 :pay for summer camp
S5 :get a part-time
S6 :need to do sth
S7 :have a bake sale
S8 : lend sth to sb
S :Read after the phrases
T :Let’s revise the phrases .
S1 :buy sth for sb
S2 :lend sth to sb
S3 :get a tutor
S4 :get a part-time job
S5 :pay for
S6 :join a club
T :Adds more and explains, pay for ,pay …for ;sb need to do sth ,sth need doing
Step2 Leading-in Go on learning to give advice
Let’s go over what we learned last lesson . Look at Reading
A. Read the conversation and find out the phrases, make sentences .
B. Read together
Step3 Groupwork .
3a.Read the conversation again .What do you think of the advice ?Next to each suggestion ,write “good idea “,”okay idea,”bad idea “. [学生判断建议的好坏并填空。在对话问题中,不断出现本课课题:What should I do ? 使学生意识到,这就是遇到麻烦、寻求帮助时要用到的语言结构,恰到好处,使知识的掌握自然,真正做到了“用中学”。]

Step 4 Show time .Pair work .
This activity gives students an opportunity to use the language of this unit to give advice . [小组展示完成3b.运用小组合作和两人一组对话展示。为了使知识的呈现贴近学生生活,激发学习兴趣。]
Step 5 Listen the conversation again.
Master the sentences “What should I do ?”, “You should…”
T : Ask the students “I need to get some money to pay for summer camp ,what should I do ? Communicate in groups .
Step6 :Practice .
Choose the best answer.(题见学案)
Step 7:Share and express
[小组合作完成Part4.学生自己创设情境,运用语言点给出建议.设计的目的:学以致用,体现英语学习的最终目的“用中学,”,把握课堂实践,巩固所学,并将这种实践延续到课后。学生讨论,小组汇报]
T :Now more and more people are learning Chinese .Why ?
S : Because our country is becoming stronger and stronger than before .
T :Now Jim has problems in learning Chinese .Can you give him some advice ?
S1 : He should listen to Chinese music .
S 2 : He should join Chinese club .
S 3 : He should watch Chinese programme.
S 4 : He should make some Chinese friends .
S5 : He should get a tutor .
Step 8 Summary.[小结 引导学生回答遇到生活烦恼如何运用本节的语言结构(新单词、新短语和新句型),学生对本课内容归纳小结,进行语言结构复现,畅谈体会和收获。]
