thechinesegovernmentwillhonoreachandeverycommitmentithasmadeinbeijing'scandidaturefileandwilldowhateveritcantoassistbeijingtofulfillitspromises.chinaembracestheolympicspiritandhasalwaysbeenastaunchsupporterbehindtheiocinitiatives.
overthepastfivedecades，thanksto，amongotherthings，thenation-wide"fitness-for-all"sportscaign，ourpeople'shealthhasbeengreatly
improved，andtheaveragelifeexpectancyhasincreasedfrom35yearsto70.ourathleteshavebeendoingquitewellinthesportseventsorganizedbytheioc.
tofurtherpromotetheolympicspirit，chinahasalsohelpedotherdevelopingcountrieswiththeirsportsfacilities.forinstance，wehavehelpedthembuild36stadiums.andwewillcontinuetodosointhefuture.
ladiesandgentlemen，iwishtotakethisopportunitytopledgetoyouthatifthereisasurplusinthegamesrevenue，wewilluseittosetupanolympicfriendshipandco-operationfundforfinancingsportsundertakingsin
developingcountries.ifthereisadeficit，thedifferencewillbecoveredbythechinesegovernment.
chinahasbeenoneofthefastestgrowingeconomiesintheworldoverthepast20yearssinceitsreformandopening-up.ithasenjoyedcontinuedpoliticalstability，socialprogressandeconomicprosperity.
anolympicgamesinbeijingwillnotonlyservetheinterestsofthechinesepeople，butalsopromotetheolympicspiritandcontributetopeaceandfriendship，stabilityanddevelopmentintheworld.
manypeopleintheworldhaveadreamthatonedaytheycouldcometochinaandvisitbeijing.myfellowcountrymen，fortheirpart，shareastrongdesiretostageanexcellentolympicgamesinbeijing，which，astheyseeit，isagreatcontributiontotheolympicmovement.ithereforehope，fromthebottomofmyheart，thatyou，distinguishediocmembers，willhelpthemrealizetheirlong-cherishedaspirations.
