2. Put up some picture cards of the previous units. Under each picture write three words including the correct one. Ask students to come up and circle the right one.

Presentation
Pre-task preparation
Say Soon we will be celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival like Sam and May. Do you know what people eat and do during the festival?
While-task procedure
1. Put up the wallchart for page 28 on the board. Discuss what people eat and do during this festival.
2. Introduce the words ‘mooncake’, ‘taro’ and ‘bean’ using picture and word cards.
3. Referring to the wallchart, point to the big and round moon. Say ‘Moon’ and ask students to repeat. Show picture and word card of ‘moon’. Read the word
4. Repeat step 3 to licit the other words.
5. Open the Student’s Book to page 29. Invite students to listen to the cassette tape for ‘Let’s learn’. Then join in to practise the pronunciation.
6. Share some mooncakes.
7. Read the words.
8. Say something about these new words.
