第十四届“21世纪·联想杯”全国英语演讲比赛总决赛4月10日在上海圆满落幕。
总决赛中，60名来自中国大陆和港澳台地区的选手，分别围绕“fromcollegetocareer：copingwithjob-huntingpressureintheeconomicslowdown（面对“经济危机”下的大学生就业问题）”和“ourchangingwayoflivingwiththetimes：initiativevs.convenience（从时代的发展看人类生活方式的改变：主动性和便利性）”这两个主题发表了演讲。最终，来自清华大学的金璐，辽宁大学的苏宁馨，北京语言大学的陈艺分获冠、亚、季军。

金璐清华大学冠军

金璐同学的演讲稿最大的亮点是巧妙地找到了“telecommunications”和“telepathy”这一对同以“tele”为前缀，但却表达了两个截然相反的人与人之间的相处模式：faraway和closetouchbyheart。
telepathy，意指“人与人之间无需外力帮助的心灵感应”。作者指出，在现代社会里，人们越来越依赖现代科技，渐渐失去了和亲人朋友之间心灵感应的能力：“withthehelpofmoderntechnology，ikilledourtelepathy。”作者讲述了和所教的小孩子以及和去世的奶奶之间的小故事，浅显易懂地阐述了这个现象。讲故事是最能拉近和观众距离，最易打动人心的一个演讲技巧。
但是，作者也并没有完全否定telecommunications的积极作用：“lettechnologykeepour‘telepathy’alive”。太过依赖电视、电话，会拉开人与人之间的距离；但同时这些现代通讯设备的确为面对面交流不方便的人们提供了交流的渠道，我们可以利用这些通讯设备多和亲人朋友聊天，增进了解，保持心灵上的交流。一正一反，但又有所侧重，使得这篇演讲稿重点突出，但又不至于过于偏激。

苏宁馨同学的稿子最大的亮点在于她对于现代人在没有现代科技下生活三天的情景。这三天，从“amessforthewholeday”，到“pickupallwelostinthemodernworld”，最后到“sparksofnewideasandsweetmomentwithourlovedones”，层层递进，反思现代人对科技的过分依赖，而后鼓励人们重拾创造力和人际交往能力。
对这三天的具体描述，体现了作者丰富的想象力。而且这个三天没有现代科技的生活的假设是个相当有趣的设想，能够引起观众们的浓厚兴趣，吸引住听众，随着演讲者的讲述，边听边想象。因此，raisinganintriguingquestion是一个值得学习的演讲技巧。
陈艺北京语言大学季军
题目：milkmanvs.mailman

陈艺同学的稿子最大的亮点是对比和取典型的运用。作者对比“old-timer”和“new-timer”生活中两个极富代表性的形象：milkman和mailman.
milkman代表的是一种过去人与人之间固定、频繁、亲密的交流方式，而mailman则代表人们在“快餐生活”时代过分追求高效导致的冷漠、疏远的人际关系。
作者只挑选了两个典型，并不多，但对两个典型都进行了非常充分的阐述，夹叙夹议，并带抒情，例子少但精。
