The theme deals with a girl’s struggle to overcome tremendous personal obstacles and fulfill her dream. Liz was raised by her drug-addicted parents, who were in severe poverty because they had spent all their money on drugs. After her mother died of AIDS and her father moved to a homeless shelter, Liz began to fight for her life and won a scholarship to go to Harvard. The film conveys a message that we may find plenty of excuses to give in to our life but we can push ourselves towards a better life instead. 第二节 读写任务(共1小题,每小题25分) 参考范文: Conflict situations among teenagers can result in violence if they don’t know how to deal with them. Understanding what to do with different conflict situations can help avoid agressive and violent behaviors. I had once experienced an embarrasing conflict with my classmate last year. It was rainning heavily outside and the classroom was a bit crowded. I was just about to sit down when my unbrella accidentally hit the head of the classmate sitting in front of me. I didn’t notice that but she got extremely angry. She shouted at me at the top of her voice, saying I was rude and impolite. Embarrassed and a bit angry as I was, I calmed myself down and kept apologizing as gently as I could. Amazingly, it was my sincere apology and repect that calmed her down, too. It is very important not to respond to anger with anger in our daily life. As I see it, it does no harm to apologize first when conflict arises. In the long run, you will reap what you sow. 语法填空评分要求 题号 赋分 可能的答案 题号 赋分 可能的答案 16 1.5分 that 21 1.5分 for 17 1.5分 to cover 22 1.5分 as 18 1.5分 regularly 23 1.5分 his 19 1.5分 death 24 1.5分 was killed 1分 is/are/were killed 20 1.5分 a 25 1.5分 who
