本部分学习的核心句型是：Are these carrots? Yes, they are. No, they aren’t.以及What are these? They’re tomatoes.教材通过Mike和Sarah参观农场并与农场主人对话的情景让学生感知上述句型的语义及语用情境。

（一）热身、复习 （Warm-up / Revision）
 1、教师和学生聊一聊每个人喜爱的蔬菜。（I like....Do you like...?）     
2、教师说谜语，引导学生用Are they...?来猜猜是什么蔬菜。 
1) They are red. They look like apples, but they aren’t 
apples. What are they?   
2) They are tender and green. What are they? 
3)They are long and orange. Rabbits like eating them. What are they?
4)They are round, pink and white. What are they? 
5)They are brown. French fries are made of them. What are they? 
学生猜对了，教师回答Yes，they are.并拿出相应的单词卡片请学生拼读；如果猜错了，教师回答No, they aren’t. 再请其他人猜, 直到猜对为止。
（二）呈现新课（Presentation）
1、教师请学生将装有蔬菜卡片的盒子盖好放在桌子上，然后走到同学们中间，随意指着几个盒子问：Are these...?并引导学生根据实际用Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t.回答。如果学生回答的是No, they aren’t. 教师要继续问：What are these？并引导学生用They are...回答。教师在操作时多问几名学生，以增加语言的输入量。
 2、教师画一个西红柿引导学生说：They’re tomatoes.教师板书该句子。提示学生注意tomatoes是复数形式。帮助学生理解单复数形式词语。 
  3、教师手指着西红柿描述：These are tomatoes. They’re red. They’re good. They’re yummy.同桌学生结对练习运用They’re...描述tomatoes.  
4、 教师做“抓单词”游戏。快速出示一种水果或蔬菜图片问：What are they? 引导学生回答They’re...最后出示carrots并引导学生说：They’re so big.
5、 同桌结对用red tomatoes, yellow tomatoes和carrots操练句型What are they?They’re...They’re so....
6、 用简笔画教师问：Where can we see these vegetable?然后用简笔画画一些篱笆或图片出示农场背景说：We can see them at a farm.教师板书farm，然后引导学生拼读该单词。
7、 让学生自己看图分角色朗读对话。
8、 播放Let’s talk的录音，学生听录音，后跟读、模仿。   
9、分小组做对话练习。

完成Let's play句型：What are these？ Are these...? 
（四）、布置作业 
听第38页的Let’s talk 部分的录音，读给同伴、朋友或家长听。 
通过“热身”活动将学生的注意力集中到课堂教学中来，渲染课堂气氛。

让学生带着问题听对话录音，整体感知对话及情景。

通过真实的情景教学会话，让学生能够进行简单交流。

学生复习新知，巩固所学知识。
