1. Analysis of the Students
The students of Grade 9 have mastered certain vocabularies，expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of self-teaching and working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English.
2. Analysis of Teaching Content
Lesson 30 is the sixth lesson in Unit 5, Book 5.This unit focus on the subject Look into science, also teach the students something about science. Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone. Lesson 30 mainly talks about the experiments of Wang Mei and Jenny, this lesson also talks about the science affects to us. It asks the students can describe the experiments.

Step 1. Warm-up
1. Enjoy a video about the experiment.
2. Free talk: What would life be like without computers or mobile phones?
Step 2. Presentation
1. Explain the new words.
2. Show the pictures of Jenny and Wang Mei to elicit the lesson.
3. Read the lesson and fill in the blanks:
