Unit 6 I’m watching TV
Section A 1 (1a-1c)
一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词: newspaper, read a newspaper, use, soup, make soup, wash.
能掌握以下句型:
① —What are you doing? —I'm watching TV.
② —What's he doing? —He's using the computer.
③ —What are they doing? —They're listening to a CD.
2) 能掌握语法:现在进行时态的用法。
3) 能运用所学的知识,描述人们正在干的事情。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
通过对本单元的学习活动,能培养培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,善于发现生活中正在发生的事情,积极思考,乐于助人,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感,培养学生团结合作的精神。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1) 词汇、词组搭配和现在进行时的用法。能用现在进行时的各种形式进行准确的描述和表达正在发生的动作。
2) 能掌握现在进行时态及一些表示具体动作的词组搭配,如: reading a newspaper, using the computer, watching TV, making soup, washing the dishes, exercising… 等
2. 教学难点:
现在进行时中现在分词的结构及读音,能在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。
三、教学过程
I. Lead in
Play a DVD and ask : Who is he in the DVD ? ( He is Joy Zhou ) What is he doing ? ( He is playing the piano and singing ) Yes, He is playing the piano and singing . ( teach : playing the piano and singing)
II. Presentation
1. Show other pictures and learn: watching TV ; cleaning ; reading a newspaper ; talking on the phone ; listening to a CD ; using the computer ; making soup ; washing the dishes ;exercising
2. Work on 1a. Ss read the activities and look at the pictures. Then match the activities with pictures.
3. Check the answers with the Ss.
III. Practice
(Show some pictures on the screen and ask some students to perform the actions.)
T: What are you doing?
S: I am doing homework. (Help him/her to answer)
T:What's he doing?
Sts: He's writing.
T: What's she doing?
Ss: She is reading a book.
(Then teacher show some pictures that some people are doing something. The teacher asks and the students answer.)
T: What're they doing?
S 1:They are playing tennis .
T: What're they doing?
S2: They’re dancing .
IV . Listening
1. T: What are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary doing? Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right activities from 1a.
2. Play the recording for the Ss twice.
3. Ss listen to the recording and write the numbers from 1a and complete the sentences.
1) Jenny is ________ TV. watching
2) John is _________ the dishes. washing
3) Dave and Mary are _______ to a CD. listening
V. Pair work
1. Ask the Ss to read the conversations in 1c with a partner. Then look at the pictures in 1a. And conversations about other person in the picture.
2. Ss make conversations by themselves and practice the conversations.
A: What’s … /What are they doing?
B: … is/ They are.
3. Ask several pairs of students to act their conversations one by one.
VI. Play a guessing game :
Show some pictures on the screen, let students guess : What’s she / he doing ? Is she / he doing … ? What’re they doing ? Are they doing…?
VII. Summary:
The Present Progressive Tense 现在进行时态
用法
表示现在(说话瞬间)正在进行或发生的动作。
标志
常与now; look ; listen ;these days等词连用.
句型
主语+ be ( am is are ) + V--ing (现在分词)
现在分词
1、一般在动词原形末尾加—ing.
2、以不发音的e结尾的动词,去e加—ing.
3、以重读音节结尾的动词,末尾只有一个辅音字母,应双写这一辅音字母,再加—ing

XI. 教后感:
本课的教学目的主要是让学生掌握现在进行时的用法,并能够理解现在进行时的构成以及现在分词的变化规律,能够灵活运用所学语言。在教学中,我设计以“人们的日常活动”为话题展开听、说、读、写等多种教学活动。这一话题贴近学生的日常生活,语言素材源于学生生活实际,因此有助于提高学生英语学习的兴趣。学生在读的时候都是大声的朗读,效果良好。在写的训练上时间太短,没有达到应有的效果。教学中我充分发挥在情境中教学,逐步引导学生去感悟,理解教学内容,从而大大降低了教学的难度。
成果经验:在本节课上,我教学设计合理,容量大,重难点突出。在英语听、说、读写四个环节上,均有所体现,遵循了听说领先,读写跟上的教学原则。在听说教学上落实得还可以,到了读写的时候我充分发挥在情境中教学,面向全体学生,练习范围广,以学生为主体,逐步引导学生去感悟,理解教学内容,从而大大降低了教学的难度。
存在的问题及解决措施:首先,从课堂教学氛围来看,感觉学生大胆发言。积极参与课堂活动。但少数学生好像是被动的,老师叫到了就主动参与,没叫到就不发言。其实这种学习的方式不利于学生的成长,如果课堂上能照顾到学习困难的学生,根据不同层次设计不同的学习活动。这样的课堂对缺乏自信学生的提供机会,使其发挥作用。那么我们应该用多种方法调动学生的积极性,比如说,鼓励、表扬、分组,做游戏等,从各方面去启发学生的能动性,让他们不仅能学会教的语言,还能充满自信,创造新的语言。
其次,小组合作的方式有所体现,在讨论的过程中以小组为单位进行,这样很好。课后练习虽然设计得很不错,但给学生思维的时间太短,过于匆忙,效果不到位。可能运用评分、比赛的办法,让小组里的每个同学都能积极参加小组的活动,并能有时间思维,在活动中获得知识更好。
最后一点,本节课的教学任务虽然得以落实,但在教学评价上似乎也有所欠缺,其实在小组中完全可以对每一个学生都进行评价,让学生有一种成就感。也有助于我从多方面了解学生情况。从而达到更好的教学效果!
