《Unit 2 Travelling》Period 8 Speak up & Study skills
Teaching goals
Step 1 Warming up
Ask Ss to think of more word pairs, write the new word pairs on the board and ask Ss which linking rule they should use for each pair. Then ask Ss to practise saying the word together.
Step 2 Presenting
First, Ask Ss to listen to the tape with books closed. After listening, ask them to replace the underlined words with their own information.
Step 3 practicing
1. Help Ss to replace the underlined words speaking loudly.
2. Ask Ss to read the dialogue in roles. And then read together.
3. We often link words together when we speak English. There are four different ways of linking words together.
Step 4 Doing Activities
I will divide class into groups to read and act out
