What day is it today? What’s the date today? What’s the weather like today? Step2: Presentation. 1. review the months in a year How many months are there in a year? January, February, March, April, May, June, July August, September, October, November, December 2. review the numbers and find out the rules ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen , fourteen… twenty, thirty, forty, fifty… 3. learn the ordinal numbers and find out the rule by themselves first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd), fourth (4th), fifth (5th)… twenty-first (21st), twenty-second 22nd), twenty-third (23rd) twenty-fourth (24th) … 4. look at the dates in the calendar, ask the Ss to express the dates in English 5. talk about the date of the festivals Step3: Practice. 1. ask and answer When is your birthday?
