Emotions: fear and reassurance. 2.过程与方法:1) 情境导入,引出新词。 2)录音教学,呈现重点。 3)反复操练,巩固句型。 4)拓展练习,提升兴趣。 3.情感态度与价值观:能在英语交流中注意并理解他人的情感。 重、难点即考点分析 1. It makes me feel nervous. 2. How long have you felt like this? 3. I hate to go to the hospital. 课时安排 1 period 教具使用 A tape recorder and some objects: CD,DVD 教 学 环 节 安 排 备 注 Step 1. Review 1. Present the picturein 1a. The teacher and students talk about it. T: Look at the picture. Kangkang and Michael are making a call. Michael looks worried. What’s wrong with him? S: He is ill. T: Do you know what he is worried about? Step 2. Presentation 1. Listen to 1a and answer the above question. 2. Read 1a, and learn the new words and phrases : “nervous, calm down, bitter”. The teacher give some explanations. 3. Find out some important and difficult phrases. The teacher gives explanations. For example (1). make + object + v./adj (2).----How long have you felt like this?/How long have you been like this? ----One day. (3) hate to do sth./hate doing sth. (4) can’t be SARS. can’t表示否定推测,而must表示肯定推测. Step 3. Consolidation 1. Listen to 1a again and follow it. 2. Let students answer the questions in 1b in pairs according to 1a. Finish 1b. 3. Know about “reassure”. Finish 1c. T: Well done. Do you know how Michael’s classmates reassure him? Lead to 2a. Step 4. Practice 1. Let students listen and read 2a,try to answer the above question. 2. Use real objects and the context in 2a to learn the new words. Learn and master “CD”, “DVD”, “test”, “speech” and “monitor”. Understand “bored”. 3. Underline the sentences about “ make + object + v./adj” 4. Find out some important sentences in 2a. The teacher gives explanations. (1) miss lessons (2) take turns to do sth. (3) give (sb.) a speech Step 5. Project Suppose one of your classmates was ill. He/She doesn’t go to school, and other three or four students want to go to visit him/her. Make dialogs including asking about illness, reassurance and suggestions. 作 业 布 置 1. Read the new words and try to remember. 2. Consolidate 1a. and 2a. 重 难 点 及 考 点 巩 固 性 练 习 根据对话情景选择恰当的选项,其中有两项是多余的。 A. Are you feeling better? B. You should go to see the doctor. C. I’m afraid of taking bitter medicine. D. I’m afraid of catching SARS. E. I would like to go home. F. Follow the doctor’s advice and you’ll get well soon. G. You shouldn’t see a doctor. Peter: Hello, John. This is Peter speaking.
