Teaching steps:
Step1:Review
Revision of some verb phrases;
Step2:Presentation
1、 Lead to the sentence pattern “can you…?”
2、 Ask and answer between the teacher and the students.
3、 Let the students listen to 1a and follow it.
Step3:Consolidation
1、 Let the students listen to 1a again, and then finish 1b;
2、 Practice 1a in pairs. Then act it out.
Step4:Practice
1、Let the students finish 2 by themselves. And then check the answers;
2、Pair work.
Let the students ask and answer in pairs according to the example and phrases in 3.And master alternative questions.
Step5:Homework
1.Read 1a three times after class;
2.Finish the workbook;
3.Describe yourselves with can or can’t

After the teacher gave an example,the students practise in groups.

The students are very excited when they listen to the radio.

The students should discuss in groups of four and discover knowledge by themselves.
