Teaching Plan -----Grade6 Unit4 B Let’s talk -----授课人:张亮 Ⅰ Teaching objectives By the end of the lesson, students should achieve: 1. Knowledge objectives: 1). Listen, speak, read and write the sentences: Does she teach English? Yes, she does. No, she doesn’t. 2).Understand “Tick and say” and finish the exercise. 2. Ability objectives: 1). Enable to use general questions in present tense to ask other people’s situation of living place, work and so on. eg: Does he live in the city? Yes, he does. Does he teach English? No, he doesn’t. He teaches art. 2). Improve students’ listening and speaking abilities. 3. Affective objectives: 1). Develop students’ cooperative learning ability 2). Cultivate students’ good habit in learning English. Ⅱ Teaching important and difficult points 1. Grasp four-skilled sentences and use them in real communication. 2. How to let students use general questions to ask and answer questions. 3. How to enhance students’ listening and speaking abilities. Ⅲ Teaching methods: ü Task-based teaching method ü Communicative language teaching ü Situational language teaching Ⅳ Teaching aids PPT, cards, pictures Ⅴ Teaching procedures Step1. Warm-up 1. Greetings. 2. Sing “Let’s chant” (CAI show the song) and the Ss do the action with teacher. 3. Let students ride a train to read the words of Unit4 B Let’s learn. 4. Guessing game. Step2.Preview Show the cards of B Let’s learn to ask: Does your uncle live in …? Does he go to work by …? Does he read newspapers in the evening? Does he watch TV at night? Let students answer these questions according to the cards. Step3 Presentation 1. Show a picture and ask, “Who’s she?” T: She’s Zhang Peng’s mother. She is a teacher. Does she teach English? 2. Let students listen and find the answer. 3. Ask some students to answer the question. 4. Lead students to read, “Does she teach English? No, she doesn’t. She teaches math”. 5. Listen and read “Let’s talk”. Step4 Practice 1. Teacher and students role-reading the dialog. 2. Boys and girls role-reading the dialog. 3. Ask students to work in pairs to practice the dialog. Then let some pairs to show their dialogs. 4. Do the substitute exercises according to the tables. 5. Suppose Yao Ming is teacher’s brother. Lead students to use general questions to ask. 6. Pair work: --- Do an interview Reporter’s Questions: 1. Does your father live in the city? 2. Does he go to work by bus? 3. Does he read newspapers in the evening? 4. Does he watch TV in the evening? Step5 Tick and say (selective) 1. Listen and tick. 2. Ask some students to tell their answers. 3. Group work: give a report according to the table. Step6 Consolidation 1. Write four-skilled sentences. 2. Do exercise book of this lesson. PartⅥ Board design Unit4 B Let’s talk Does she teach English? No, she doesn’t. Yes, she does.
