Warm-up. 1. Greeting. 2. Let's chant. T: What's the weather like today? Ss: It's sunny. T: It's sunny day. Let's chant. Chant: Sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy. It's hot today. It's hot today. Sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy. It's cold tonight. It's cold tonight. 3. Let's sing. T: It's sunny today. We're going to have a picnic. Let's sing. Song: Let's have a picnic today. Ⅱ. Presentation 1. Review food items. T: Class, we'll have a picnic today. What's for the picnic? First let's go to the food store. What's in the food store? Please watch and answer quickly. 2. Introduce: I'm hungry. Have some... Here you are. You're welcome. (1) Try to find out what I like to eat. T: I'm very hungry. I want to eat something. What do I like to eat? Do you want to know? Ss: Yes. T: Please say: Have some... S1: Have some chicken. T: No, thanks. I don't like chicken. I like... S2: Have some bread. T: Thank you. S3: ... (2) Let teacher guess what they like to eat. S1: I'm hungry. T: Have some... S1: No, thanks. I like... T: Here you are. (Give S1 the food card that he likes to eat.) S1: Thank you. T: You're welcome. Teacher writes down these sentences on the board. Let's have a picnic! I'm hungry. Here you are. I'm thirsty. Thank you. You're welcome. (3) Practice in pairs. B: You're welcome. Ask some of the students to act out their dialogues.. 3. Introduce: I'm thirsty. Can I have...? Sure! (1) Review drinks items. Teacher takes out one of these drinks, and asks: What's this? Ss: It's coffee. T: Please pass the coffee. Ss do the actions and say say the word "coffee". T: I'm thirsty. Can I have some coffee? Students who holds the coffee answers: Here you are. T: Thank you. S: You're welcome. (2) Teacher takes out the drinks, says: I have bought many drinks from the food store. Do you want to drink it? If you want, please say: I'm thirsty. Can I have...? S1: I'm thirsty. Can I have...? T: Sure. Here you are. S1: Thank you. T: You're welcome. Then write down these sentences on the board. Let's have a picnic! I'm hungry. Can I have...? I'm thirsty. Sure. Here you are. Thank you. You're welcome. (3) Have the students take out the cards and practice in pairs. (4) Ask the volunteers to act out their dialgues. 4.Present the dialogues. (1) Watch a video. T: It's time to have a picnic. Let's enjoy the picnic. (2) Listen again and repeat. (3) Students' books open. Listen and repeat. Ⅲ.Consolidation and extension. 1. Let's enjoy the picnic. (1) Teacher decorates a corner as a place for picnic. Teacher makes a model for students. T: I have brought many food and drinks for picnic. Let's have a picnic together. Who wants to come with me? S1: I'm hungry. T: Have some chicken. S1: No, thanks. I like cake. T: Here you are. S1: Thank you T: You're welcome. S2: I'm thirsty. Can I have some milk? T: Sure. Here you are. S2: Thank you. T: You're welcome. ( The words in red color can be substituted to other food items.) (2) Have students practice with their partners. (3) Role-play. Ask some of the students to come to the front and act the dialogue. 2. Let's clean up. T: It's 4:30 pm. It's time to go home. Look at the picture, there are many rubbish on the ground. Shall we go home now? Ss: No, we can't. T: Yes. We should clean up. And put the rubbish into the bin. T: Look at this corner, it’s very dirty. Let’s … Ss: Clean up. T: Great! Who can help me? Some volunteers come to the front and help the teacher clean up. T: O.K. It's clean now. We can go home. 3. Summary. T: Today we have learnt how to have a picnic. First we shall go to the food store to buy something to eat and drink. Second enjoy the picnic. Third we should clean up before we leave. 4.
