Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?
The Second Period (Section A 3a-3c)
Teaching aims（教学目标）
1．掌握基本的阅读技能
2. 学会如何礼貌的发出请求
3. 学会礼貌的接受请求和拒绝请求

Language points（语言点）
1 要求掌握以下句式：Could you please…? Yes, sure. / No, problem. / Ok, but I have to … first.
2．要求掌握以下词汇： （1）动词：welcome, throw, reply, shout, walk
（2）名词：walk, surprise
（3）形容词：clean, tidy
(4) 副词: neither, as …as …, angrily
（本节课的生词较少，而且单词的拼写比较简单，所以学生学起来不会感到困难，如果班级学生的水平较高，可以鼓励学生当堂掌握。）
Difficulties（难点）：如何进行礼貌的请求，接受请求，拒绝请求。
Teaching steps（教学步骤）

1.Warm-up and revision（课堂热身和复习）
Warming up: Have Ss recall the phrases about doing chores. Use some picture clues if necessary.
T: Do you remember how to talk about these chores?
Revision:
Have Ss do pair work with their partner and review the key sentence structures.
Have Ss answer the pre-reading questions.

2. Presentation（呈现新知识）
Present the new words and phrases according to the questions raised by teachers.
（教师在指导学生回答问题的时候，就提出生词和关键短语，难点，对后面的阅读做好铺垫。）

3. Work on 3a
T: Read the story and answer the questions.
（教师可以四处走动，以帮助学生怎样理解文章的大意。并对个别难懂对他们阅读有障碍的地方进行注解。）

让学生掌握如何去抓住一篇文章的大意。

4. Work on 3b
T: Read the sentences below. Underline the sentences from the reading that mean the same thing.

(教师对这部分中的三个句子进行讲析，让学生注意每个句子中的句型，讲解用法。鼓励他们找到答案。重点教会学生注意细节，同时让学生学会带着问题有针对性的阅读。)

5. Work on 3c
T: Decide whether the underlined words in the sentences are verbs or nouns. Then write another sentence using the underlined word in the other form.

6. Exercise: Fill in the blanks according to the passage.
T: Now fill in the blanks. Please do not look at the passage in your book.
Have Ss fill in the blanks using the correct words without looking at the passage in 3a.

7. Explanation of the useful expressions
Have Ss read the examples. Make sure they understand all the sentences and explain any difficult words. Have a few Ss write their own sentences on the board using the examples and have the rest of the class identify the verb/noun/adjective in the sentences. 8. Homework
T: Use the useful sentence structures to make sentences.
Have Ss make their own sentences in their notebooks.
