⑶ stop from doing sth. 阻止做某事,相当于prevent /keep --- from doing sth.
e.g. The trees can stop the wind from blowing the earth away. 树能阻止大风吹走泥土。
stop doing sth. 停止做某事(正在做的)
stop to do sth. 停下来去做某事(另一件事)
e.g. Suddenly everyone stopped talking.突然每个人都停止讲话了。
We stopped to take pictures. 我们停下来去拍照。

=It’s important that we should learn English well.
学好英语对我们来说很重要。
