What do you know about the flag of China?
What do you speak?
Step2: New Concepts
1. Show some pictures to learn new words
2. Show a map of Canada. Listen and answer these questions:
What language do the people of Canada speak?
What is the capital of Canada?
Is Canada east or west of China?
Describe Canada’s flag.
What is the national animal of Canada?
What is the name of the famous waterfall in Canada?
3. Work in groups : Describe Canada.
4. Show a map of the U.S. Ask the question “What’s the capital of the U.S.?” Teach the word, Washington, D.C.
5. Look at some new words: stripe, Statue of Liberty, New York
Read after me first, then ask the class to read after several students loudly, at last students read together.
6. Listen to the tape and read after it.
7. Read the lesson and complete the chart.(let’s do it ! part 1)
Step3. Consolidation (6minutes)
