Unit6 Vocabulary 教学目标: 1. To get to know prefixes. 2. To use adjectives in the context of talking about nature reserves and wildlife. 3. To show the students an effective way to enlarge their vocabulary. 教学重点: To show the students an effective way to enlarge their vocabulary by adding prefixes to adjectives. 教学难点: To use the adjectives correctly. 教具学具: Small blackboard. 教学设计: Step I. Pre-checking 一. Review Reading (师生问答) 1. What is Zhalong? 2. What can wetlands provide for wildlife? 3. Why are more and more birds in danger? 4. What is Zhalong famous for? 二. Try to read the new words. (小黑板展示;个别读且纠正-集体读-巩固重点单词) 三.根据中文提示填空 1.It′s (必须)to take an umbrella with you in London. But it is (没有必要) to do this in Beijing. 2..It′s not good to be a (不诚实) boy. 3.Nothing is (不可能) if we put our minds into it. 4. It′s (不礼貌) to look at foreign tourists with eyes wide open. 5.This T-shirt makes him feel (不正常) for his brother to eat so much. 四. Translating (小组讨论,个别学生回答) 1. 在扎龙猎杀是不对的。 2. 对我们来说学好英语是重要的。 3. 她不开心是因为她没得到礼物。 4. 我们不喜欢他因为他不诚实。 Step Ⅱ. Presentation With some adjectives, we can change the meaning by adding a prefix. From the above examples, we can get some words: correct-incorrect; happy-unhappy; honest-dishonest.Adding the prefixes ‘dis-’, ‘im-’, ‘in-’or ‘un-’ to an adjective will express the opposite meaning of the word. These prefixes mean ‘not’or ‘the opposite of’. Eg. Trainers are comfortable to wear. Small shoes are uncomfortable. Work in pairs to finish Part A on page 80. Step Ⅲ. Practice 写出下列词的形容词及反义词 ① friend, , ② important, , ③ happiness, , ④ comfort, , ⑤ possibly, , ⑥ correctly, , 2.Sandy wants to go birdwatching with her friends. She made some notes about Zhalong.
