教学过程
Step 1: Greetings
Greet the students as usual.
Step 2: Revision
My birthday is coming. My birthday is on October 10th. When is your birthday?
Get the students to practice the dialogue in pairs.
Step 3: Presentation
Play the short video of different after-class activities and get the students to say what they are in English. Then ask the students what activities they like.
Step 4: Act
Get some students to come to the front and then say a kind of activity and get them to act it out.
Step 5: Game
The teacher acts out all kinds of activities and gets the students to guess what they are.
Step 6: Group work
One student says out the activities and the other students act them out. Have a contest and look at who does the best.
Step 7: Pair work
Work in pairs and ask what you often do after class. Say as many activities as possible.
Step 8: Listening
1. Work on 1b Listen and circle the events you hear in 1a.
2. Work on 1c Listen again. Fill in John’s calendar.
Step 9: Reading
Work on 2b Read the school notice and list the activities and the dates.
Step 10: Pair work
Read the school notice carefully and work in pairs, practicing the dialogue like this:
A: When is the soccer game?
B: It’s on October 12th.
Step 11: Writing
Write five things about yourself on a piece of paper. Another student will read it to the class. Can your classmate guess who the writer is?
I’m fifteen years old. My birthday is on January 1st. I like baseball and volleyball ...
Step 12: Homework
Write a short passage to introduce yourself about your birthday, hobbies and so on.

教学反思
