《8A Unit 5 Birdwatchers》Period 2 Reading(1) Title (课题) Reading(I) Type (课型) New (新授课) Period (课时) 2 Supporting theories (理论支撑) 1.多元导入—激趣激思。美国教育心理学家霍华德•加德纳提出的多元智能理论认为,个体身上独立存在着与特定的认知领域知识范畴相对较小的多种智能。课堂教学的导入是关系到教学成败的关键之一,我运用多元情境化教学策略,将英语课的开始从直观的图片和学生生活中的话题导入,使教学内容一下就调动起学生的多种智能,引发了学生的思考,这样的多元导入,激趣激思,使学生在愉悦情趣之中学习英语。这一多元情境化教学策略能有效地实现课堂教学事半功倍的效果。 2.任务型教学。以学生为主体、教师为主导、训练为主线,面向全体,分层教学,充分体现教学的实效性、双向性和引导性。采用灵活多变的教学手段,培养学生的学习兴趣。在任务型教学活动中,在教师的启发下,每个学生都有独立思考、积极参与的机会,易于保持学习的积极性,养成良好的学习习惯。 3.合作学习。以瑞士儿童心理学家皮亚杰为代表的建构主义学习理论认为,学习者的知识是在一定情境下,借助于他人的帮助,通过意义的建构而获得的。建构主义学习理论强调教学必须以学生为中心,强调学生对知识的主动探索、主动发现和对所学知识在原有经验基础上的意义生成,要求教师由知识的传授者、灌输者转变成为学生主动建构知识的帮助者、促进者,学生学习的合作者。提倡合作与交流,增强集体意识和荣誉感。注重学生的能力培养,力争课堂的优质高效。 Aims and demands (教学目标) 2.Ability objectives(能力目标) (1) For lower-level students, improve the ability of guessing new words and improve the listening, speaking and reading skills. (2) For higher-level students, say and write something, cultivate the ability of communication and cooperation. 3.Moral objectives(情感、态度与价值观) (1)To arouse the interest in learning English; (2) To cultivate love of the wildlife and our nature. Search for information about Zhalong Nature Reserve. 2. T: We learnt a lot about different kinds of birds last time. Have you seen all these birds before? These birds are beautiful and lovely, but some of them are rare now. They are endangered. T writes the new words ‘rare, endangered’ on the blackboard. 2. T: Many birds are endangered. What can we do? We can build nature reserves for birds. The Chinese government is building more nature reserves for the birds. Zhalong is one of them. Today we are going to learn something about Zhalong. (present new words on slides) 通过向学生介绍扎龙自然保护区的基本情况,引出本课中的一些重要单词,同时检查学生对本课内容的预习情况。 Step Two Presentation 1. T introduces something about Zhalong Nature Reserve by asking the students the following questions. 1) Where is Zhalong? (It is in Helongjiang in north-east China) 2) What kind of land is in Zhalong?(There are wetlands in Zhalong) 3) Why are the wetlands important for the wildlife?(Because they provide food and shelter for them.) 4) What is Zhalong famous for?(It is famous for all kinds of birds. Every year, lots of tourists go to Zhalong to watch birds) (present new words on slides) 2. Finish exercises B1 and B2 on p78 通过画面呈现单词,让学生对枯燥单调的单词有了形象的感知,有助于加深学生对单词的理解和记忆。 导 Step Three Practice 1. T plays the recording of the article. Let the students do Exercise C1. 2. Let the students read the sentences on P79 one by one. If the sentence is false, correct it. 3. Let the students read the correct sentences together. 让学生带着任务去听读,提高学生听能和快速收集信息的能力。 练 Step Four Further understanding Step Five Production 1. T plays the recording again in parts(P1-2). Let the students answer the following questions. 1) Where is Zhalong? 2) Is Zhalong Nature Reserve an ideal home for the red-crowned cranes? 2. T plays the recording of P3-4. Let the students do T/F questions. 1)Some people want to change the wetlands into farmlands. 2)More and more birds are living safely now. 3. T plays the recording of P5-6. Let the students do multiple choices. 1) Members of the Birdwatching Club are going ____ in Zhalong. A. to help feed birds B. to keep the birds in cages C. to study the birds 2)Studying Zhalong helps us ____. A. learn about protecting wildlife B. watch birds easily C. understand the importance of the farms 4. Let the students fill in the blanks. Read the article fluently. 2. Surf the internet for some information about wetlands. 课后作业的布置,提高学生自主学习的能力以及知识迁移活用的能力,并为后面的教学做铺垫。
