第四课时 Section B(2a-3b) Teaching Key Points 【教学重点】  The vocabulary:  opinion,skill,typical,football,quick,continue,crazy,push,development,cause,usual,perhaps,cut out,compare with,in one's opinion  Target language:  1.However,the tired children don't get home until after 7:00 p.m. 2.Doctors say too much pressure is not good for a child's development. Teaching Aids 【教学工具】  an English book,a tape recorder and CAI Teaching Steps 【教学过程】 ★Step 1 Preview and perception 【预习感知】 Ask the students to read the vocabulary and target language. Ⅰ.根据汉语意思完成下列句子。 1.What's your o______about the problem? 2.This is a t______ question. 3.We should c______ the two routes(路线)and choose one. 4.P______ his father is a policeman.I'm not sure. 5.Parents shouldn't p______their children so hard. Ask the students to talk about in groups. ★Step 4 Pre-task 【准备任务】 Page 30,2a 1.Look at 2a. 2.Check the after-school activities you and your classmates usually do. ★Step 5 While-task 【过程任务】 Page 30,2b 1.Present these new words on the screen and teach the new words. 2.Ask the students to repeat them.And make sure everyone knows the meanings. 3.T: When you read something for the first time,do not worry about the words you don't know.Use the context to help you guess the meanings. 4.Practice reading the passage. Page 31,2c & 2d 1.Read the passage again.Look at the words in bold in the article.Can you guess their meanings? Try to match them with the meanings below. 2.Ask one or two students to check the answers. 3.Read the passage quickly and find the answers in 2d. ★Step 6 Post-task 【后续任务】 1.Page 31,2e Discuss the questions with your partner. 2.Page 31,3a A magazine interviewed some parents about after-school classes for children.Read the opinions below and make notes on your own opinions. 3.Page 32,3b (1)Write a letter to the magazine to express your opinions on after-school classes for children.Use the following expressions to help you. (2)Ask some students to read their letters. ★Step 7 Consolidation practice 【巩固练习】 Look at the students' book of the 4th exercise. ★Step 8 Summary 【课堂小结】 In this class we have learned a passage about pressure.In it there are some important things to learn.You should retell it after class. ★Step 9 Homework 【家庭作业】 1.Write a passage about pressure after class. 2.Retell the story about Maybe You Should Learn to Relax.
