Step 1 Reading aloud the passages
Get the students to read aloud the passages one by one. Check if they have read it at home. Give the students some comments. Get all the students to read it together.

In this step, the students are hoped to focus on what are talked in each passages. This can help to get them ready to form the structures of the passages in class.
Step 3 Reading the passages and speaking out the details
Home Economics
Get the students to read the passages and speak out the details of each specialty. If necessary, the teacher can also use questions to help organize their ideas.

With the help of the structure, it may be easier for the students to understand and recite the text.
And I will try to use this frame to get the students to focus on the most important points.
Step 4 Reading through the passages and explaining the language points
Get the students to read through the passages and explain the language points. For weaker class it
is very important to let the students translate the phrases and sentences one by one. This may help
them understand better. For stronger class, it is better for us to give more examples focus on the
different situations and contexts. Now we have the phrases and sentences as the following.
Phrases:

Sentences:

This is great because it takes less time than taking the bus.

Step 5 Doing some consolidate exercises

Step 6 Talking about your school lives
Get the students to talk about their school lives. It is very possible that there will be complains. And complains are a kind of negative feelings. So I’d like to use a topic sentence to make the students to look at their school lives in a positive way.
Ask the students to start their report like this:
I like/ enjoy/ love my school life , because / when….
Step 7 Homework
Try to recite the text and write about your own school life.
Finish off the exercise in the Evaluation Handbook and learning English.
