Good day to you. I am Peter Wang. I am 22 years old and I graduated from Dalian Maritime University. I have serviced on board your good vessel Yu Kun for one year as a cadet, and now I want to apply for promotion.
During the time worked on board, I have theoretical knowledge put into practice, such as the FFA and LSA: All survival craft, rescue boats and launching appliances shall be visually inspected to ensure that they are ready for use. The inspection shall include, but is not limited to, the condition of hooks, their attachment to the lifeboat and the on-load release gear being properly and completely reset; the general emergency alarm shall be tested and so on. I always believe that “No practice, no gain in my wit".
At the same time, I have got the Seaman Competency Certificate of 3/O. I would very much like the opportunity to work in industry and I hope you will feel able to give me an interview. Your kindly attention of this matter will be high appreciated. Thank you.
