Have you ever seen the traditional style of the chi-pao used for blouses and dresses? You might have even watched Mulan, Disney's animated film based on a Chinese folk tale. The Chinese Culture has played an important role in world society, and in China itself.
With the accelerating pace of globalization, our cultural exchanges with the outside world have never been livelier. At the same time, traditional Chinese culture has been undertaking an ever fierce conflict against that of western hemisphere. In addition, under the attack of cultural hegemonism, we are faced with some serious problems of cultural security, such as our ideology facing challenges, our culturalvalue being threatened and our cultural market being in disorder. Under these circumstances, how would Chinese culture made further development?
First of all, we should accept different cultures and increase intercultural exchange in the arts. In this way, Chinese and the Western culture fuse in the collision, in fusion supplementary.
Next, while working for a socialist civilization which is materially advanced, we should build one which is culturally and ideologically advanced by raising the scientific and cultural level of the whole nation and promoting a rich and diversified cultural life inspired by high ideals. A comprehensive cultural market is to be developed through the integration of resources, business maneuvering, and policy support.
Last but not least, many places in China are culturally backward areas that continue to resist progress. It will take a lot of time to catch up with a cultural lag. Therefore, we must exert ourselves to develop advanced culture and support healthy and useful culture, changing what is backward and resisting what is decadent. We should strengthen cultural infrastructure and boost various types of popular culture.
The Chinese Culture has shown that China has become what it is capable of becoming. And positively over the next years, the culture of China will offer even more.
