Secondly, I believe thepolicy will give China a chance to move ahead in the world.How do you think it will affect the society?As soon as the population growth has stabilized, China will be able to make progress in thefight against unemploymentWhy do people in China traditionally want to have a son?Thats an interesting question. Firstly, I believe that fathers all over the world wantsomeone to carry their name into the future. For example, in many western countries it iscustomary for a boy to receive his grandfathers name. A second reason that I couldmention is that parents worry about what will happen to them after they had retired. Theyfeel that when they have a son he would be able to provide for them in future.Describe the position of woman in China?One of the aspects I could tell you about regarding this topic is that there is somediscrimination against woman in China. For example, woman who are doing exactly the same job as men, are getting smaller salaries. Secondly, women are not considered forcertain high level positions, like for example, in government. In addition, in manycommunities in China, women are still regarded as inferior to men. This is particularly thecase in the rural communities. Lastly, parents prefer to have a boy as opposed to a girl.This is an unhealthy situation, as it will disturb the balance between the number of men andwomen in China in the years to come.What are the causes of sex discrimination?Thats an interesting question. Allow me to explain myself by shortly mentioning thefollowing points: Firstly, I believe that discrimination against woman have deep roots insocieties all over the world. In other words, it is not a present day phenomenon.Throughout history woman have not enjoyed the same status as men. It is only recentlythat woman have been filling the same positions in the work place. Lastly, I believe that itwill take much more time to eradicate this practice. It means something like being handsomeforever. His parents think he is the most beautiful baby in the world. So, they chose thisname for their son. Now he is over 4 years old and he is very lovely. But I think he seems tobe quite shy. However, once he gets to know you, youll find he is very talkative and even abit bossy. He likes to win and to be first at everything, but he will allow other children to taketheir turns, too. I like him very much because he is very funny and loves to make all sorts ofword games with me. I feel unhappy when I miss him. Every body has potential, when they are encouraged by something,their potential will be developed from inside. Maybe their personal ability is beyond therequirements, once their potential explode, they will gain success.Do children know the difference between right and wrong?Well, I dont know much about this issue because Im too young to be a parent and Im nolonger a child. But my guess is that they dont really. I mean, I love children a lot but I thinkit takes a number of years before you can really learn to know the real reason whysomething is right or wrong and it takes a long time for people to really sympathize withothers in a sincere way. One example of this is the kid that teases others. He doesnt reallyknow its wrong but he hears that his parents and teacher says its wrong so he doesnt doit. Another reason he stops doing it is because hes afraid he might get teased. But does hereally know its wrong? I doubt it because he doesnt have the ability to know how to thinkand realize the hurt another person feelsWhat is the population control situation like in China today?It depends which place. I think its having some positive effects in the city. In the country itsmore difficult to monitor so its much stricter than in the countryside. There is a largefinancial penalty for couples that have more than one child. Its also probably easier for thegovernment to monitor how many children are born into each family in the city than in thecountryside, just because everyone lives so much closer togetherShould children be punished in school?In my opinion children should be punished but not too often. I think the best way to dealwith children is to guide them through their mistakes and to try to help them see their ownerrors. I mean, punishment should be used, but only when the children believe that theycan get away with something that they shouldnt do. Punishments also cannot be the onlyway a child learns not to do something or otherwise he or she will only act out of fear ofconsequences without knowing whether its truly right or wrong. For example, if a boypasses notes in class and is only punished, he may stop it only as long as the teacher isaround. But when he comes to another class with a teacher whos not as strict, he mightstart doing it a gain. He hasnt realized why its not the right thing to do. What effects or benefits does learning an instrument have on people, especiallychildren?Well, Im no expert on the subject and to tell you the truth Im not really sure. I dont play aninstrument so I have no personal experience to draw from. I suppose if I had to guess Idsay that learning an instrument sharpens your mind because Im sure its not that easy. Imean I know some people whod practice for hours and so I think it must not be easy.
