Question 1：Tell us more about yourself.
Hi, good morning, my name is LOUIS, I am studying in financial and economic school in xx
University. My major is statistics. I’ve always been interested in discovering how things work, I had the chance to do some original research on my Masters and that’s inspired me to take up the challenge of a PhD.

Question 2：What made you choose to do a PhD?
I’ve enjoyed my academic work so far, and I am really interested in management area. So I want to study further and apply for a PHD degree.

　Question 3：What do you plan to do after you complete your PhD?

When I finish my PHD, I want to use it as a foundation to do more meaningful research. Of course, I’m also interested in the wider development opportunities included in this doctoral program. I want to be an academic, but I’m happy to keep other options open.

Question 5：Are there any training needs you can identify ahead of your PhD?
Yes, my major in graduate period is statistic. I have a lot to study when I apply a phd in management. The first training I need is to change my mind and act as a management researcher.
Question 6：What makes you the right candidate for this PhD?
Well, first , I am interested in this topic, I enjoy studying further in this area. Furthermore, statistics is a basic subject, which can provide me a good analysis tool. Last, I am hardworking and passionate. I think I can do a good job in my phd period.
　　Question 7：What difficulties do you expect to encounter during this project?
　Because my major in my graduate period is statistics, I may be lack of the mode of thinking as a management researcher, which may bring me some difficulties. But I am confident I can overcome them.
　　Question 8：Why have you chosen to study a PhD at this university?
xx university is one of the famous universities in our country. And The management science and engineering of xx University is the key subject of Jiangsu Province. I was already familiar with the work of my prospective supervisor and their research has greatly informed my own development as a scholar.
　　Question 9：What can you bring to this research group?
　I want to contribute with my own expertise and enthusiasm. My previous work has given me the skills to make the most of the material involved in this project and I’m motivated to take up new training opportunities as relevant. I’ll be proud to be a part of this department and would actively seek to represent it through my own publications and other research outputs.

1 What is your greatest strength?
I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done. I’ve set some high goals for myself. And I am working hard to accomplish my goals.
2 What is your greatest weakness?
I am not good at refusing people. Sometimes, they ask for my help, and their tasks really aggravated my burden and affected the progress of my work.

3 How do you feel about your progress to date?
I think I did well in school. In fact, in a number of courses I received the highest exam scores in the class. I complete the research task assigned by my supervisor with a high evaluation. I also published a SSCI paper as the first author.

4 What has been your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is that I was enrolled by Jiangsu University in 2023

5 Tell me about your family.
I have a happy family. There are 4 people in my family, my parents, my grandmother. My parents are workers. They are honest and kindhearted.

Data analysis
Find social problems and solve it.

7 What’s your hobby?
In my spare time, I like reading and travel. I took part in a summer work and travel program to America. It really broadens my eyesight. When I have free time, I also play basketball with my friends.

Well, first , I am interested in this topic, I enjoy studying further in this area. Furthermore, statistics is a basic subject, which can provide me a good analysis tool. Last, I am hardworking and passionate. I think I can do a good job in my phd period.

In my phd period, the most important is to complete my academic requirement. For this goal, I will study harder and strive improve myself.

10 How do you solve the problems that you meet in the experiment?
If I meet some difficult problems, I could insult my supervisor and search related professional literatures to solve them. Confidence is very important and we should believe in ourselves.
